I’ll third this. After all, I did replace the entire engine harness in like an hour. I’d be willing to bet that the harness, ECU and the physical engine/trans combo are all that needs swapping. Hope it doesn’t come down to this but if it does, I conquered my Goliath in a concrete driveway in basically 3 days. I think you could handle it.

Met up with @NickB_01TRD in town for din din while dropping the truck off. While we were waiting for our table we looked over the ole shit box.

We found a new frame hole right next to the spare tire cross member. Nick, and I think odds are good for new frame. Pics below. Pinky for scale. It's literally right next to a frame rivet for the spare cross member.

@TundraGirl2 was less than enthused about driving through renegade showers, but we did arrive in one piece. It was an enjoyable evening had by at least three of us. I obviously can't speak for Nick's girl. Don't want to put words in her mouth.

Yes! We had fun, and glad to hear that y'all did too! Next time you're planning a pick a part run let me know, and we will see about getting some of them parts I need. A third pair of hands is always welcome.

Hopefully it gets a new life, and after finding that new frame hole in the mounting point I'd say odds are good for a new life. Only time will tell at this point.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you. Prior to getting my Tundra some years back, while reading up on the earlier gens and recall, I had it stuck in my head for some reason the recall was only honored if you were the registered owner at the time of the recall. Maybe that changed with the extension. I just hope you manage. That truck looks too good to throw out because of the frame.

I will say, it looks a hell of a lot better on the outside now! It's pretty funny, looks like you polished it some on the body panels. Then I look at that strip at the edge of the bed compared to all the other areas and it looks so damn dirty :D Did you take polish to the panels?

Comes with guts. It's brand used instead of brand new. I've read your wood grain swap and I was like EFFFFFFFFF that. I can totally swap the HVAC tube with mine.

They probably didn't know is all. The truck literally has ZERO service records at a dealership so I'm hoping for the best. :)

Guess we will see how shitty this new one is. I probably should have asked. I'll let you know if I need something else for it, and will let you if the offer is still open in the future.

Yes, these will help at least make the interior more presentable.

I'm having trouble sourcing a "ship to store" radiator. I don't want to go through the hassle of having 5 radiators shipped to me and having to send 5 of them back for stupid dumb ass damage.

Do you think that if I called a store in the morning they could ship it to the store for pick up? Apparently, the app for A-zone, A-parts, and navel won't let me ship to store.

Worth a shot to call. Did you find a denso to order to a parts store or just getting whatever brand they got?

Denso at advanced auto is $280. I won't spend close to that and NOT get denso.

Good lord that's high. This is what I ordered but of course had busted trans cooler line fittings.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0049GHV3U
Otherwise was in good shape but no parts store in town could just get me the fittings.

I planned to by-pass the internal cooler/heater on the radiator anyways to avoid the milkshake. I did the same on my V6 with no issues. Hooked directly from the transmission to the cooler.

If it wasn't for the winter time I would bypass mine. I know cold vs hot definitely makes a difference in shift performance. Idk I've considered bypassing mine but if I just got a new rad I wouldn't really be worried about a problem.
