Cracked Rotor / Question

    Can you tell me how you knew there was an issue? Did you hear something? Was the tire about to fall off? Were the lugnuts tight when you removed the wheel or loose? Do you have the other pieces of the rotor? I'd love to see more pictures of the inside and outside of the rotor along with some pictures of the pieces. If you have a photo of the hub that rotor is bolted to I'd love to see some pictures of that too. It really looks like an impact failure. It literally looks like what would happen if you hammered that section of the rotor. I'm not convinced that is a casting quality issue. Did you inspect the caliper thoroughly? Is there any sign of something getting caught underneath the caliper?
