working from home im able to get my work done in an hour, leaving me a majority of the day for projects. Problem is nothing is open, Amazon is slow, and im trying to be frugal w/ my money for the time being...

Long story short, does anyone have any ideas for some low budget (< $150), mods/projects that can be done at home?

ive already detailed every surface, cleaned up my wiring, tuned my audio system, and everything else i could personally think of. i might pull off and paint my skid plate. it doesnt need it. but im bored.... help!20200222_170718.jpg

Have a go a tinting the windows? Watch some YouTube vids if you’ve never done it. It’s one of my first go to mods on a newbie.

    Edit- badass rig!

Buy yourself a welder and learn to weld. I've got projects running out of my ears. I love being able to make whatever I want.

Detailing cost <$150 and will be great for the truck. Remember to do the inside, engine bay and wheel wells too.

I've been practicing my grinding skills. I've been told they are important for a beginning welder. :)

I'm going to practice vinyl wrapping some interior pieces. I wrapped a vent ring and the cup holder bezel many months back, but never finished the rest. Cheap project that just takes time.

I've been thinking about trying my hand at cerakot. That wouldn't be too expensive to try out. You could do some pretty cool stuff with it

Detail and a wash/wax for me. It will feel like a brand new truck again. Not a really a mod, but a good way to pass time.

Refinishing the kitchen chairs right now. I sanded them down, bought an HVLP spray gun and borrowed my brother’s air compressor. Easiest thing to do, and pretty fun too. Not sure why I never tried this until now.

Did all the maintenance items on my rig and bro in laws rig last weekend.

Picking up curb throwaways now to stay occupied and flip for parts money. Today was this project:

Drained the old gas. Cleaned out the carb and spark plug. Changed the oil. Flap wheeled all the rust and rattle canned black. Fluid filmed where needed. Will need new paddles. Torn if I want to keep it as a backup. It cleaned up nice for its age. Starts on 1st pull. It's a single stage but 4 stroke. No mixing required.

You could add some extras under the hood... And of course play with metal. Not as fancy as the nice battery tie downs that are sold on this forum, but a little stainless steel scrap saved me from spending a hundred bucks on one. My j hooks were to short for the battery I bought, 31A, so I made a new bracket to reach the factory hooks.

@Mountun Goat I can't let Dan be the only one making stuff!
