    When you say, “last gen” are you saying like an older model? If so, how many generations does the MX4 have?

    So I bought my MX4 about 2 years ago.

    It's what I think he's referring to as "Last gen".
    It came with drop down brackets to relocate the bed rails down a few inches. (Nice feature)

    Bakflip has since changed the design and the new ones leave the rails where they were and use them as part of the mounting system.

    Gotta' go and mess with a good thing. ☹️

    Yeah! I hate when they mess good things up. I am still deciding which route to go. I live in AZ and another poster states the AZ sun was hard on mx4. I have to take that into consideration.

    First mod I did was remove the bumper and air dam to put tow hooks in with the CBI covert bumper. Never had any issue while truck was still under warranty and had plenty of recalls for this that and the other since purchased 3 years ago.
