Could Toyota utilize the advance camera technology like a dash camera?

I just installed a new Thinkware U3000 dash camera in my tundra about 2 weeks ago and yesterday, my tech savy son, brought up a good question. With all the camera technology the tundra has, at what point could you see the use of the cameras be for recording purposes, like a dash camera? Like Toyota could interface a recording device that would continue to record and write over the data obtained from every single camera and camera angle on the truck. It’s an interesting topic. I’m no engineer, so I’m not sure if anything like this is feasible. It sure would beat installing and cluttering up the window with a dash camera. What do yall think?

im not familiar with any of the Tesla technology other than it being an electric vehicle. Do the cameras in the Tesla provide continuous recording when the vehicle is in motion and/or not in motion?

you have never closed a door kinda hard next to a tesla - then the dash lights all up and starts recording everything on its cameras??
