No idea. But I got thousands off the sticker price. Someone up a ways posted great advice about seeking quotes from multiple dealerships, then getting dealers to beat each other’s prices. I agree that’s probably right, and I think Fighting Chance recommends doing that. Instead, I found a truck I wanted on a back lot, added up what Fighting Chance said was the dealer cost for all the trim options on it, and went in ready to spend $500 over that.

Maybe, based on the info (above) that some states make this available free, he just compiles and re-sells it. Or maybe he pays employees for the info, recouping costs by reselling.... :notsure:

So you're saying that every car price can be different?

I tell everyone that's shopping for a vehicles to go through and get a price quote through Costco. Its sooo easy:
Plug in what you want on the website
They set you up with a local dealer
Tell them what you want (over email)
They give you the costco price

Thats it, you now have a baseline to not pay a penny over and can shop other dealerships.

I ended up just purchasing through costco and did the same with the wife's lexus. You can still negotiate on top of the costco price, just make sure you also get any current incentives deducted by the costco price.

Bought the wife’s camry and tundra w Costco program. Great price, all the factory incentives and 0 hassles. No back and forth bs. Rogers and Rogers in el Centro, CA. Costco salesman is fleet manager and he wasn’t on commission, salaried. Walked in, signed paperwork, drove out. Both times. Don’t talk to a regular salesman when you get there. They’ll bs you and tell you they do the Costco program.
