I’m sure our Canadian website is simply out of date. The “new” gf standard is possibly new?

I used this in my Tundra and I swear the engine was quieter with it compared to when I used to use Mobil 1.

Just ordered a (4) pack of 5-qt jugs. $64 USD.

I’ve been paying about $37 per 5-qt jug of Mobil full synthetic for a while. More than double…

I know, some say it’s worth buying the top shelf stuff. I’m on board with the oils that meet the requirements. If I blow ‘er up after the next change, I’ll update…

ordered 2x 4Pack The 8.1L takes two jugs on it's own.
With the fumoto valve, brass filter drain with tube and a dewalt 20v 90 degree driver for the skid plate, the Tundra really is an easy oil change.

And walmart has the Toyota filter for just over $7.

What is your Toyota dealer charging for a filter? I’m paying about $5.50 for OEM oil filters here. Always thought it was a little weird that I can get OEM cheaper than aftermarket…

And, yes on the Fumoto valve! Absolutely a must have for a 5.7 Tundra. Same with the filter canister drain kit. I have an RCI skid, so no more full removal. Just a little door for filter access. The oil pan drain just clears the side of the skid plate.

I just picked this up as was planning to do my first oil change on the truck (bought last year and doesn't get lots of miles).

Went to change the oil and learned I need to remove the whole skid plate to get it done... Time to see if there are any sales on an after market one with access panels

You could do that or do like others have with the OEM skidplate and use a holesaw to cut an access.

I went in and bought 100 qts. during the Labor Day discount. I got a mix of 0W-20 and 5W-30 to cover all the vehicles in our household. I also buy the Toyota OEM Filter in 5 packs from Amazon for $30, so my next 5 oil changes will only cost around $35 each.

Honestly, If I could get the filter cheaper at the dealer I would still buy elsewhere.
I will only deal with them for a dealer only part.

When my wifes car was totaled, we went to look at a RAV4. It was a 2023 but when we looked at it the ODO read over 5K miles. They couldn't or wouldn't explain the mileage. Then started in about a $1700 detailing fee. This was after they raised the asking price from what was on their website. Told us the website price was a get you in the door price, not the actual selling price.

My wife now has a 2023 Hyundai Tuscon to replace her Kona.

Next closest dealer is over 50 miles away.

I avoid the dealer at all cost

I order the filters from sparks. By the case

Most dealers are scumbags. It's an ugly industry. Worked in parts department at a couple dealerships when I was younger and although I knew some good people, the industry is full of crooks.

I’ve had good enough luck buying oil filters from the locals. I was in, tell them two more filters for my 2018 5.7 Tundra, and they plop two on the counter. Always try to shove a couple drain plug washers in the boxes, but I tell them to keep ‘em as I have a Fumoto.

I’d sooner try to sandpaper a bobcat’s ass in a phone booth before I bought a car from them or let them touch my vehicle, but I’ll buy a filter…

This...plus there's a record of buying maintenance supplies from them. I'll let them handle warranty fixes and recalls, I can take care of maintenance items.
