Question: what change if any have you noticed in your MPG? I read somewhere a couple years back that one person said they increased by 2mpg. Curious your result as that would pay for itself in just a couple years.

Good question. If I got a SC I would most likely see a decrease of 10 mpg. :burnrubber:

Honestly with a sc you have to run higher ron fuel rating like 93. Time to add cost to the sc and and higher ron fuel rating it will take you years. Dont forget sc needs to be serviced too that can itself not be cheap. Sc is not about saving money its about building hp. Got to pay to play.

Alot depends on your wallet. 5.7 total is around 500 hp and around 550 ft tor. With really no mods done.

Right now as it stands mine will be a n/a and not f/I engine. I believe pse does something on our 2u for it, but right now im trying to keep from f/I engine.

I saw one that used a 2 piece s/c. One the blower other the adapter to the intake. 2 peice designs suck azz badly why you rarely see them or for suckers who buy them.

If I do f/I use the trd unit I will have to get it x-ray before I rebuild it to check castings. Im very though in my work I dont take chances.

I won't be charging mine either. The trd charger kit only has 3 parts available for it anymore. Just had one rebuild by PSE for a cruiser. They do a great job at rebuilding numerous different manufacturers blowers.
But still not worth it imo on the 4.7

Our 2uz has weak rods piss poor design. Block, crank, heads are good just bad rods. Why mine will be on a engine stand I hope this time next year. Plus I want to do some work alot of machine shop time.

Alot mechanical and alot electronic. Pistons to rods and crank. Power stand alone ecm. Upper end turned heavy on the press and lathe. all I will say she can breathe like it needs to without s/c. But it will be set up for s/c as a option.

In another thread @Talstar said he would provide the full installed cost on his FFV.

From above his install was $1,240 but just wanted to compare his full out the door cost. He said he picked it up from Sparks in Myrtle Beach.

Not really a issue as it was mentioned once and I knew it void the warranty.
