Coolest or fastest car you’ve ever driven?

Drove a Noble M12 once. 300+HP in a 2400lb gokart with a body. thing was crazy. I was at a dyno shop in MA getting my 03 supercharged IS300 dyno tuned. the shop built the M12s from Kits for a local dealership. Kit form was the only way to get Nobles in the US. Owner of the dealership showed up in one while i was just hanging around outside while the tech tuned my car. we BSed for a while and he gave me the keys and told me to go for it. Bad ass car.

 

I am fortunate to have had some great opportunities when it comes to getting behind the wheel of some real beauties.



Unfortunately the roads around here don't let you get much above 100mph before the next stop sign.

I’m fond of the ones that I currently own.

It’s not a car, but the R1 is my favorite and by far the fastest in the garage.

Fastest vehicle I ever drove was a cab over Peterbilt. 400 Cummins big cam. Would do just over a buck and a quarter.

Lots of cool cars but that Troopy is pretty fk’n sweet.

 

Far from the fastest, but definitely the coolest. 1936 Rolls Royce, one of only 25 of that model made.

i have played a decent amount of Gran tourismo on PS2 so ya, I’ve driven some pretty awesome stuff. Not here to brag though.

I drove a bunch of different & cool cars before 1999 when I switched to Toyota trucks... I drove a Delorian, a '72 convertible Eldorado, several different Corvette, GTO & other American muscle cars, Supra's and a handful of exotic imports. Some were pretty fast for their time, but nothing like today's cars. The coolest was probably this Ram Air 455 H.O. '71 GTO Judge tribute using a Lemans Sport convertible as the host.

 

Did the Richard Petty school back in 2002 and drove 1 if Dale Jr's old cars.

 

I guess you win this one lol. That's really cool. I'm not a nascar fan but that would be incredible to drive one of those. I saw you replied and was thinking you'd post a pic of something cool with the police interceptor in it.

 

My 1969 Corvette. Used to do over 150 down the main straight at Bridgehampton. That pic is at NJMS Lightning.

 

I did think of a 9C1......police interceptors are Fords, I refused to drive one. I got a new car every year and back in 1997 there were no more Caprices. I told them I'm good, give that Ford to someone else. Drove that baby until 2001 and replaced it with a Impala.

 

The latest favorite fast car is my brothers Alfa Romeo Giulia Q when visiting him in Oct.
I had to shut it down, cause traffic was coming up. But it still had more to go.

 

Probably my quickest off the line. It would pull the front wheels.

 

My buddy with CT state police has driven a capris for a few years and won't give it up lol.

 

1971 Chevelle that my buddy and his dad built. My buddy's dad built and restored cars for a living, he sold cars to Bo Jackson, members of ZZ Top and a other celebrities so you can imagine his son's car was badass. Cherry red with the chevy black stripes down the middle. The thing was a puzzy magnet. After high school my buddy joined the army and was promptly killed in a helicopter crash. Last time I saw that car his dad parked it in his garage and put a cover on it, that was 1990.

 

Today as I was walking outside i was struck by something that this thread stirred in me.

As much as I love horsepower etc. This old stuff really soothes the soul.

Buddy in college had a 455 Trans Am. He would wash it often and we would take it out to air dry it. Neighbor brought home a Cadillac Coupe with the vette motor. A friend was trying to sell it. She wanted him to buy it. He asked me if I could drive a manual and I said heck yes let's go burn some rubber. One of my friends had a Supra. He left it with while he was out of town. Fun car.

 

12 years ago my buddy let me take my boy for a spin in his '05 GT. That was fun.

It's a blast to ride and takes some learning to figure out how to not hurt yourself lol

 

Didnt get to drive her, just got to climb inside. Not the fastest (perhaps the slowest), but definitely a strong running for coolest and loudest.

72 Pantera. My Aunt showed up with it and asked this 15yr old if I wanted to drive it so I did.

 

Coolest to me, in 80's High School a friend's dad had a Ferrari 308 GT, (original Magnum PI ). We took it out a few times, can't imagine anything cooler.
