Are there advantages or disadvantages to the mid rise?

I Would have preferred the mid rise, but then wouldn't be able to park it in the garage after I lift it.
The mid rise gives you about 3.5 in. More headroom.

I've always done Leer on my trucks. But imagine the others are nice also.
Removable front slider to clean your back window.
Never have done the carpet headliner...not sure why:)

Good to know. Leer seems to be a pretty solid brand.

Yeah I think so...and the 100R too...I like the double lock metal frame back window over the single lock SUV style window.
Just put it on 2 wks ago...$1600 out the door.

Just saw one of these toppers on a lifted DC driving down I70 this week. Wish I could've gotten a pic, the light bar is a nice touch.

What were some of the costs seen to get the cap painted to match?

I have to admit, a topper would be ideal for me and much more useful, but i like the look of truck bed rack with RTT on top better. Plus i can just throw my jerry cans in the back for long trips.

    something like this

Its been awhile and I never got a topper. Since the crewmax is so big we decided it will be the long distance vacation travel vehicle. Im going to get a topper ordered this weekend. Looking for the best on the market now. We decided we want frameless for sure.

I have owned 3 different fiberglass LEER caps, 2 hi-tops and 1 cab-height. They worked as advertised, and if I had to buy another one I would buy used for 75% off retail.

I have replaced the Cab-height cap with a commercial aluminum Hi-wedge with a full size rear hatch. It's ugly & boxy, but it is easier to work out of than any of the others and it's lighter.

Buying used can be a challenge. It takes a lot of patience, or else a paint shop that will give you a good deal. I’ve done both ways, buy a match or paint it.

    Love having a topper.
