My new 2020 TRD Pro has a console safe and I screwed up the combination. Toyota can't help and the card that came with it says I'm screwed. Has anyone had this issue, if so what did you do? I think I'll resort to drilling it as I can buy a new lock for $50.

How many digits is the code? 3 or 4? You could always go through them one at a time. :anonymous: Sucks, but may not take as long as you think.

I think it's a gulf states option. The lock spins with 4 code wheels and a hole where you reset the code but that can only happen when it's unlocked. The service advisors had no clue. The thing was 0-0-0-0 when I got the truck. I set a code, pushed the pin to reset, it turned ok but now won't turn back. I'm just pissed that I followed the directions and now I'm "screwed".

You were probably slightly off on one of the numbers in the detents. I called the maker of the safe when I got mine 2nd hand and they said to change one digit at a time and check. If it was only one dial it would be pretty easy. A couple of the dials :eek2:

It's a 2020 it's under warranty so tell the dealership to suck it up and replace it. If not escalate it with Toyota corporate. They helped me with an interior issue after the dealership denied the warranty claim.

try original code and new codes + or - digits. You can't be too far off.

I got it....:) various perturbations of my numbers. I was seconds away from a pipe wrench (just kidding). I did contact combi-cam who makes the lock and they were very helpful.

Hummm... Mine came with a barrel key which allows one to clean-up things??? Am I missing something?

I'm glad you found a remedy.

    Be safe!

If it is a combination lock look up Lock Picking Lawer on youtube he has plenty of videos that show how to decode them with a thin piece of metal (like a coke can). May save you some money if you have the patience to learn how.
