Here is the video. Mine came with them gladly.
I went in channel, however I’ve had adhesive in the past and it was good as well. In channel just looks cleaner to me.

funny, i have yet to push the auto s/s button and i have yet to engage that function when coming to a stop. or at a complete stop.

i always get a notice on the display saying press brake more to engage auto s/s.

dont need to actually push the brake to the floor to keep the vehicle from moving at a stop.

I just got my 2023 Platinum Crew and absolutely love it. My build date was 08/2023 and it has not popped up on recall list. I am truly hoping that his ride is unscathed by the engine issues bc it is a dream truck. Try not to get caught up in the posts that dog the 3rd gen. We all need to exercise patience and faith...Toyota has their outstanding reputation for a reason.

One and a half years into ownership on a Double cab sr5 with 01/23 build date. Anyone considering buying one should consider the following cons:
-Turbo failure at 8900km. Driver side turbo replaced. I know 13 other people with a Tundra. Two others had the turbo fail. One is a 03/2023 and the other is a 2024 with about 990km on it so it sounds like Toyota hasn't fixed the problem yet. Call around to the dealerships and ask how many turbo failures they've serviced. If you call Toyota Canada to ask they say they don't have that data available. A basic PFO reply as they know the turbo fail is still a problem.
-Truck only has a piece of astro turf carpeting on it as a belly shield. Insane. Cost me $900 to get a proper metal protective pan. I cannot believe they are still sending them out with the carpet!
    - truck has no front tow hooks! You have zero attachment points for a front end recovery if you get stuck and need to be pulled forward. Absolutely insane that Toyota still doesn't even have an accessory part for this. Any front frame attachment for a pull would rip the $$$$$ electric air dam louver off the truck. I paid $300 for a front hook from California, the only one I could find. Will still be iffy for a recovery if the elevation between my truck and the recovery vehicle is too steep. I can still see this damaging the air dam.
    - don't buy the double cab without inspecting one first. Toyota cut 5 inches off the old double cab, so you now get a cramped space that barely gives you enough door clearance to lift things down (eg. my old dog). Back doors are too narrow now. Rear passengers have no leg room now. I wish I had got the crew cab.
    - road and wind noise is absolutely ridiculous. Sounds like you forgot to close a window. Terrible that Toyota knows this is a major problem and still have not changed the cheap cab and window seals. I've had my cab seals changed twice and no fix. They just keep putting the same defective seal in.
    - I live in Ontario. The front wheel liners are made of the same POS carpet that the belly pan was made of. They become one big salt sponge in winter on our roads. You can spray with a pressure washer for ten minutes and they still hold salt. I wish they had put the old plastic on like on my 2010. Hope this doesn't cause body panel rust issues down the road.
    - interior lighting is insufficient. Cab needs better lighting for sure. Not sure if a bulb upgrade is possible.

My truck has been not bad on gas consumption of I drive sane in Eco mode. I get about 13 liters per 100km combined. It will sometimes drop as low as 12.2 if my trip is fairly flat or downhill. Sweet spot for best mileage appears to be about 85-90km. Gas mileage is not as good when the winter tires are on.
