I have to toot my own horn here as I am super proud of the city I live and volunteer in.

Last night, the local FD posted an announcement on Twitter saying someone came into one of their FD bays and stole two (2) helmets. These helmets were valued at a combined $1k due to them being leather and with tools attached to them.

I posted this information on a local Neighborhood Watch FB page I moderate. One of our members suggested we should attempt to raise the funds to replace these helmets as the FD must replace it themselves. (They receive an uniform allowance- but these two helmets were gifts to the BC and other high ranking FD official.)

The Admin and I agreed and setup a GFM page with a goal of $1,500. (We surpassed that in 12 hours!)

In addition, I contacted Ring.com about the story and they are donating a stick up camera!

We are already in contact with the FD Public Relations Manager who the funds will be released to.

    Thanks Ring!

I do like my ring doorbell and stick up cam. Did have a failure of my ring doorbell though. Contacted them via the "chat with me" on the website. Went through what I have done like checking the voltage, etc. Without much hassle they sent me a new ring pro doorbell.

Now I just need to improve my internet to get a better video.

Look for $50 direct from Ring.com around the holidays. That is how i got my stick-up cam.
Just went Amazon for the doorbell.

Keep in mind its $3 per month or $30 per device for their server space to record motion activity.

For comparison the nest cam is $100 per year per cam

Nothing else to do on here. Toyota vehicles have little to no issues.

The Ring spotlight camera arrived today. I'm working with the FD now to get it to them today! (I also plan on taking my 4yo son to see the fire trucks)
