Drinking a hot toddy right now, (with hot water) and my sore throat and plugged nose taking another beating. My go-to cold medacine, at least when I’m not at work.

I had the same problem with my back. I was taking 800mg of Ibuprofen 4 times a day. It helped, but not much. I asked the doctor for Ketoprofen (75mg 3 times a day), it's safe as long as you take it with food, and I can move again.

As for NyQuil, it's already 20 proof. Adding more alcohol either makes you sleep, or just not care.

We always have Eggnog around with no whiskey. It's for the kids. Children and booze are a bad combination, even though they say little kids are supposed to sleep tight.

Lol. Yep, i'm still alive. Been at work so havent had a chance to do more than a quick browse of the forum till now.

My little cocktail worked great. I slept like a stone and woke up feeling about 75% of normal. Vast improvement over yesterday. Another day or two and i'll have this bug beat.

Don't care for it store-bought. Always made my own. Dozen eggs beaten, quart of milk, quart of heavy cream, fifth of rum or bourbon, cup of sugar. Mix everything but the whipped cream together, chill for a few hours or overnight, whip the cream, and fold it in.
