boulder wagon road. yes, it's closed. although pretty sure not legally, but you would have to deal with the evil regime known as the boulder ranger district to get it opened again and that ain't gonna happen.

thanks. raffle rig has kept me crazy busy this year. can't wait until december when it goes bye bye.

still pissed about bwr and the tunnel. had meetings with udalls office and the three counties along with boulder ranger district years ago and boulder just flat out doesn't want stuff open. they pulled every excuse they could think of to avoid it. the other counties offered to buy the 8 mile stretch. offered to have a toll authority run the tunnel to avoid litigation. rollins pass restoration society has a slush fund and has someone lined up to radar the entire tunnel. wouldn't cost boulder a dime, but they won't give up access.

the bwr was an easy closure....they used the "safety" excuse since there's an above ground gas line there. no nepa, or impact study, nothing...they just gated it off...closed
    boulder sucks :(

It looked like all the ducks were lined up to make it a go. A shame and as you well know once something is officially closed it's even harder to get it open again.............My opinion of Boulder............upload_2018-9-26_18-30-29.jpgS

I get the feeling that boulder Fort Collins and Denver are about to make Colorado the new Cali, especially if 112 passes.... I will be on my way out if it does. I can’t make a living here if all the oil set backs happen... plus imma bet at least $5 a gallon for gas....

Been worried about something like 112 for awhile, but I'm especially concerned now that my brother's working in the oil field. He'd have to come back to agriculture if 112 passes, and who the hell wants to work double the hours for the same or less pay? Let's just hope with most of the state against it it doesn't.

No kidding, just hoping since both gubernatorial candidates oppose it that'll hold some sway with the city folks. Aside from that, that proposition is basically begging for a giant lawsuit by landowners. And as much as I supported the 51st state initiative, it never would've made it through the state legislature, let alone the national, and we couldn't have afforded the water rights anyway. The figure I heard was 2 billion dollars worth of water flows through the NE part of the state, and that's not even including the Arkansas.

After experiencing Alaska for about a year, that's my bug out destination, although Wyoming is a couple hours away. Montana is damn nice too.

Colorado's economy is booming. Lots of people moving here for jobs. New housing, warehouses, you name it, is going up. 112 could reverse all that. Crazy times...

Yup. Bet everyone here will be looking at massive gas price jumps from having to import gas from other states, electricity prices are gonna go up be because power plants are powered by natural gas which wouldn’t be able to support the state for 3 years before we have to start Importing that from other states. And that being imported, the gas bill at their houses will go up as well.... Colorado will not be affordable at all...
