They can for sure drain your wallet if you don't keep up with the regular maintenance. I'm able to work on these cars myself which is basically the only reason I can own one. I do my own timing belts, clutches, etc...Fun fact, the day I bought the 2004 A4 ultrasport, the clutch went out and I was pulling the 6 speed manual transmission that very night. Aside from the timing belt jobs and regular maintenance, the only other issue I've had was with my A8. The air compressor for the air suspension went out after a relay stuck on and fried the compressor. $1300 for the new compressor, luckily I didn't have to pay labor...I never pay labor.

If you do have to do a timing belt, you have to more or less remove the entire front end.

We're back..... Car looks great. Looked underneath. Didn't see a pool of oil. Paint in great shape. The hood has the clear "plastic" anti chip wrap. Sun Roof. Windshield has no cracks. Rotors looked good all around. Has Bosch Icon beam wipers. HUGE selling point right there.......:cookiemonster:. Took some other pics of an Avalon, Tahoe, "Jeep" Liberty, and a Vulva......

The Audi would be my first choice, but I think I’ll take that MGM Tundra behind you in the “remote selfie” you took

If the Audi title and interior looks to be OK is it one I should drive down and take a drive?

BTW....thank you, Matt! I already knew you were a good guy but you’ve extended your approval rating on this one

Add me to the Colorado list!

I work on Audi's for fun, buy them dead, repair drive for 5-10k miles then sell them. Have a 2002 Allroad that is need of a new engine currently. I know a lot on the 1.8T's and 2.7t's, alittle on the 2.0t and the 3.0 (expensive Timing belt repalcement due to tools needed). 3.2 has a timing chain.

If you get one with a timing belt, and there is no proof it has been changed. Change it immediately. Worth your piece of mind!

I would recommend a Subaru over an Audi for a first car. Less expensive, great AWD, EASY and inexpensive to maintain.
