Now we are getting to the core of the issue. Doesn't sound like the tix are more of a cop out to eliminate your position?

NO. i wouldn't be the one eliminated anyway. i'm the most tenured and far and away the most valuable. all job eliminations go through my boss and his boss. neither of which would choose me to go away, it would be my peer. we'e been trying to get rid of him for 2 years. i don't mean this to sound cocky, but if they are doing away with our position then there would be no one to orchestrate. if i go away then my boss has a nightmare on his hands. this is the most difficult area in the country to manage and i'm not exaggerating. the intensity of the weather, road closures, wind, and amount of snow needs a local mediator to sift through the false claims and the crap quality of work...that's who i am. The regulator. Again, not to sound arrogant, i just know my worth.

hey Alma, I will keep my ears open for ya! I am hoping you keep your job though!
Unfortunately the auto insurance company ultimately dictates how many tickets a driver can have and the employer will establish their employment guidelines based on the rules of the insurance company. Most commercial insurance will 'exclude' a driver with 3 speeding tickets in 3 years which means that driver cannot drive an employer's vehicles. Personal and work related tickets are reviewed to make this determination :(

Any tickets recent? Can you get them off your record by taking traffic school?

There isn't? Is traffic school a CA thing? We can get rid of one ticket every couple of years by going to traffic school. Or an online course that I've got down to about 20 minutes. :)

I remember it in CA. Fortunately, I've only received one speeding ticket in CO (1 point) paid it early and it was squashed as if it was non-existent.

i enrolled into an online course to alleviate one of the tickets. it's on the attached link. i'm not sure if it will suffice but i had to do something immediately to show that i'm doing something to "get better"

Sorry to read about your situation. I do not think DMV.org is associated with Colorado. I almost submitted for a license renew on this site last week until it asked for a large amount of money and it offered me a $50 gas card. Good luck. This might show your intent, but not sure the state will recognize it.

So, after leaving the Breckenridge courthouse they informed me that there are courses available but I've already paid the fines which essentially crush my chances of even get to complete courses to reduce the impact on my record.

But, to show intent is more my move in this immediate situation. I just need to buy some time in order for this to go away under normal procedures

Not yet but I keep hearing I have 90 days to make a ticket go away, which sounds like it's a losing battle.

I'm not in a good place right now thinking about pulling these kids out of school when I'm supposed to be the answer to their lack of consistency. I feel like I've totally failed them. I feel like no matter what positive influence I try to incorporate..it's just not enough and the world comes crashing down on me.

This has officially been the worst 2 years of my life and I've absolutely tried the hardest I ever have......just to feel the force of truckloads of shit once again.

Hey, no one ever said life was easy. Hold your head up high, face the music and show your kids that you never quit. You own your mistakes, learn from them and grow from them. Chin up, buddy!

A wise old man who I met in Baja (there are some crazy storied there for another time), once told me that life is nothing more than a series of tests. There is no C. It's pass or fail. Some you're guaranteed to fail no matter what you do. What matters is what you do after the failure.

I've failed a lot. Like a lot. I've tried to take those failures and do something with them. Not everything can be carried forward and applied to the next situation but you can't visibly carry them with you. Especially for your kids' sake. They need you strong no matter how f'd up you are on the inside.

I was out of work for a year and a half not too long ago. I could barely get an interview. The ones I did get, I failed miserably because I can't speak corporate or talk to uber geeks. I couldn't get anyone to hire me for photography. Cars were falling apart. Living on credit. House for sale. My parents calling me an idiot and an irresponsible parent. Bec wanted to leave. It was all kinds of fun.

But, I remembered the old man in Baja. Sitting on the beach with a cold Pacifico right off the truck staring at the sea. He looked at me and said, "It's just another test. What are you going to do?"

I kept trudging forward. Totally blind at times. But, still forward.

This will work itself out. It probably won't be easy but nothing is. If it is, then your values are off. I don't think your values are off.

Patience. No knee jerk reactions. No decisions that you might regret later. The pieces will come back together again.

Ok so I'm gonna set this as an open invite to any one that want to come hang out in Greeley this Saturday. Mark wants to replace his rear leafs and I said he could use my garage. So if anyone wants to come hang out with mark and I and shoot the shit, talk tundras, talk 4runners (im going to try and have punkin in my garage, if she fits next to the ass end of Marks tundra that is)

The goal is obviously, to get Mark's saggy bottom figured out, then possibly get the motor and trans out of punkin. If anyone has a *little* project they want to get done, come on down.

Mark said he was gonn plan on being here around 10.
If anyone is interested, pm me
