Wasn't my truck but guilty as charged. Technically you don't eat the ass per say, just lick it for her. And of course you brush your teeth. 2x a day everyday. Don't forget to floss. :anonymous:

Your upgrades to the rig are looking pretty sweet. Is that on the Dolores? Looks like a nice spot to get away.

    Thank you, and good eye!
I think they're great. They tend to wear evenly, aren't obnoxiously loud, and do well in the snow. I've used them for mild off-roading on different types of terrain - around Sheep Mountain and Rampart, as well as St. George, San Rafael Swell, and throughout Idaho - and have zero complaints. They also don't kill your wallet, especially if you find yourself replacing them prematurely because of a heavy foot and supercharged Tundra... oops.

Probably my favorite river in Colorado when they let it run. You can put in below McPhee and run it all the way to the the confluence of the Colorado at Dewey bridge, then stay on the water until you get to lake Powell through cataract canyon.

I'm also in Rampart often as we do some camping and trial riding. It's close to Denver and they have many trails to twist throttle. I'll keep an eye out for you guys.

as some of you FB goons have seen already

did the Shelf Road and Sand Gulch on the way down to Great Sand Dunes

stayed an extra night and did some of Four Mile before finding a nice dispersed site before sundown

if anyone is adventuring out this weekend somewhat close to Denver I've got nothing going on

Heck yeah! My days of throttle twisting are in the past for the time being, so it's all beating on the Tundy with the fam. Still a great time!

i saw your name and was like ahh i know him from the forum

a spot or two on Sand Gulch i was glad i had skids and sliders. could have avoided with a spotter or being a little smarter with line choice. i'm more used to offroading CJ5s and CJ7s which are wayyyy smaller

you going out at all this weekend?

Well now that you have armor you have to find an excuse to use it! Gotta justify the purchase. Maybe going out this weekend, would like to explore more of the Rainbow Falls area, but we'll see. My kitchen is still halfway wired and down to the studs, so the adult responsibilities might take a little priority, which is super lame

Yeah I'll keep an eye out for y'all!
I mainly fart around on my dirt scooter. I live in Rastle Cock, so a quick 15-20 min drive and I'm at a trailhead. I generally do early AM rides throughout the week as part of "daily exercise" and also to avoid crowds.

    I'd start here:https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for...?endYear=2021&newSearch=true&searchRadius=500

I didn't include 22 up newer models in the search. I've said this before and I live buy it. Buy your tundra in a different state than ours. We have them so overpriced because they are in high demand. Just get lots of pics from sellers of frame and anything else you like to see before you make the step to go check it out. Fly and buy is my moto. Carfax is your friend. I bought mine in TN

edit: kind of a no brainer but don't buy a truck that has lived in the rust belt or NE.
Seller can do some shady things to hide rust and take photos to hide that fact.
Are you looking for a specific Gen?

Carfax will show branded titles. Lots of small branded title dealers out there. I have seen Salt Lake City dealers posting better prices than Denver in general. Facebook market place will be your best bet for private sellers. Craigslist is a crap shoot but there are still some good ones that can be found.

Any tips on tundra year issues? Only looking pre 2022 for both price and reliability. Heard the transmission cooler are pre 2017 but isn't the biggest deal to me, 2020 + for CarPlay etc

If it were me I'd buy anything I could afford 21 and older. You can add a trans cooler to the 18+. You can add an aftermarket head unit for CarPlay to a first Gen if that's your thing. I'd look for a rust free truck that had regular maintenance and isn't built yet. I prefer stock over overland builds for used.

a lot of guys that come on tundras that are searching for a truck start a thread about it so we don't end up clogging up the Colorado BS thread. Start your thread relative to the Gen your searching for and put it in that section. Ex; 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 2.5gen...

Do you mean like FL where you can basically "unbrand" a title after repair?
