what about this? https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb21-182 Back when I was in elementary school (mid 80's) if you messed up the principal was allowed to whip your ass! Plus my Dad being a former Marine we would have to deal with him. Thats when the black leather belt came out.

My parents had a car moulding for spanking behinds and they weren’t afraid to use it. Also, it was accepted when I was a kid for relatives or neighbors to set you straight if you were screwing up. Nowadays you can be looked at crazy if you spank your kid. I am not very old (40s) but times have changed so much since I was a kid

I’m setting up a meal train for BPD via contacts and donations for baskets. It’s time like this, that brings CO so close together.

Not too many journalists like Joe Galloway anymore. Actually not too many many real journalists......

"Just months after 23-year-old reporter Joe Galloway got to Vietnam, he found himself with Lt. Col. Hal Moore and his beleaguered 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment at Ia Drang. The epic Nov. 1965 battle, where Galloway took up arms to save soldiers’ lives—for which he received a Bronze Star with V Device—forged a deep friendship between the two men."
Interview with Joe Galloway: Soldier's Reporter Speaks His Mind (historynet.com)

Naturally everyone is surprised he would to such a thing.......even though known to be a whack job. All the signs were there, just simply ignored. There is more to this I'm sure.

Agreed. Not faulting anyone with my initial comment, either. Just noting that the signs were there, and it unfortunate that even family members did not seem to pursue help (assuming, based on how the article is written). It's also from the Daily Beast, and was an article that appeared on my phone. I'm sure there will be better written / detailed articles in the near future.

So glad to be able to drive from coast to coast at will thanks to heroes like these. think you guys are missing the point if you’re arguing. God bless America and Fuck anyone who does this. I work in the medical field in a state that doesn’t believe in mental health anymore. There are real issues with this, but also let’s just get along and have love between us. Respect between brothers and sisters. Don’t fight with your words here but live the life you have available. I’m a spiritual man and there’s a lot to pray for these days. Love you all. Drive those tundra’s hard. See you in June :)

Hard not to. I still have zero sympathy for that perp no matter what his possible issues were. Things can suck in life but you don't go out and kill people just because your life may suck. That perps family knew he had issues and did nothing and I don't want to hear that his family had no one to call for help. This state has no shortage at all for mental health issue contacts among other life problems. I can't say how good the help is but there are resources here to take advantage of. Resources are thin now with the Covid situation but the perp apparently has had issues for quite some time.

Empathy brother empathy. Don’t feel sorry for anyone or yourself, just as long as you can put yourself in their shoes and see where things went wrong you’re on the right track. Also remember it’s ok to be wrong and learn from another’s mistakes. I like this Netflix series manhunt deadly games. maybe they’ll be another season about this person. Ted and Eric are worthy of understanding. And then shooting. LOL but sadly if they’re smart we will never kill them just lock them in a cell with a massive f’d up audience of worshipers...

Exacerbated by the pandemic, mental health care/support is completely inundated in Colorado, among nearly all other states, unfortunately. It's a serious problem.

I have a lot of empathy for yesterdays victims and if I was in their shoes I'd be dead. They did nothing wrong but go to the market. The perp can rot in Hell.

I understand your anger and don’t know all the details. Just saying it’s worth studying the mind of a killer. Because there will be another like them. And maybe next time we can stop them.
