Aurora Reservoir is a decent place to ride. A bit further but lots of space this time of year.

If you separate the red 1 it will solve the problem.

I rigged up my light bar and ditch lights with remotes. Easy peasy.

Yeah I honestly can’t figure out why this is a problem. Black/black. White/white. And two reds. Each red keeps switch on. One red powers light. One red doesn’t. But either red switch is on. No matter the configuration the switch is on. Losing my mind.

Do I have to tap onto another? I put it in the dash where I tap into another

I had the same issues you are going thru. I have 2 small remotes. One controlling my light bar and the other controlling my ditch lights. Both remotes are located in my aftermarket mossy oak visor attachment. I love it. Much simpler than f'ing around with panel switches.

I guess I need something like this. My issue seems easy but I’ve tried every option other than tying to tap into another switch. Which doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t even need the switch lit with dash lights. I just want the light bar to function when I’m out in the shit. Which is often. I’m on dirt roads in Wyoming or Nebraska often, always wish I had more light. Now hoping I don’t kill my battery out in the middle of nowhere

I didn’t actually put it in till I knew it was all good. So its set that I can run the connection through the back and put the switch in...but currently floating in my foot area till it’s dialed0791BF19-AF59-4432-B523-97932A6F9AA8.jpg

I had to add a 3 conduit to my harness from the engine bay. Which looks a little confusing. So in this photo it’s white black and green (but green is actually a red) . My switch harness has two reds (which go to green) and the rest is wired correctly. I had to add an extension witch made colors switch. I guess I wil pull green and see if I’m reversed but I can’t be. B6155F6D-E8AA-430F-8C1B-F71A7E7217DA.jpg

Jim I appreciate you spending the time on this. It’s weird because it literally makes no sense. I only have 4 Options. 1 red, or the other red, both red, no red (which is no power)

So the closet lighted switch would be the tow/haul button. Get a test light and check if there is a green wire behind that switch. If there is see if the test light lights up when you turn the headlights on and that's where you tap the red 2 into.

The tan wire should be power. If you tap into that I would put a inline fuse.

Ok. Makes sense. I was just thinking I wouldn’t need to tap into another switch. I’m an electrical amateur

besides most of it being closed, it's the high country in winter and this year, the snow pack is pretty unstable. i could recommend some hike/snowshoe spots...
