Speaking of runs, wonder if the upholstery or body damage is more?

No one had dash cams? I imagine that the audio during the slide would primarily consist of grown men screaming like 14 year old girls. :angrygirl:

I haven’t reached out yet to the recommendations you made yet, but I started with Toytec and was quoted $3600 for a 3” Aluma 2.5 Front Coilovers and Aluma IFP 2.0 rear (with no resi)..Add a leaf pack and SPC UCA’s.

Also quoted $5700 for BP51’s. Was somewhat expected but was hoping it was 5k or less.

these include installs. (I need to nut up and do it myself) but its my daily driver and I don’t have a vehicle lift available.

At this point the internet is getting the best of me. I read various lifts are amazing and garbage. So far Toytec 2.5 is $3600, and the fox 2.5 is $4600. I think that’s my window for installed.

I don’t know if this is the right forum but I’ve been mulling this over for a f’n year now.

Toytec sells the OME coilovers, OME shackles, rear OME shocks, and OME rear DAKAR leaf packs. Decent setup. @Grumpy Uncle has the setup. I had the OME front coilovers/rear shocks and Toytec's adjustable shackles on my 07. Got 2.75" lift. Already had an AAL on the rear so I still had some rake. Decent ride. @ColoradoTJ will attest to that. Not as high end as the shops TJ recommended of course, but food for thought. The Aluma setup does have pretty good reviews here. I guess it comes down to what your budget is and what kind of wheeling you plan on doing here in beautiful Colorado!

figure 6-8 hours depending on how fast you move and where murphy is at any given moment. most time consuming part will be getting the UCA bolt out.

no lift needed. a jack and some stands and you're good.

One of the best bang for your buck lifts. Then again, I am kind of biased. I've ran 7 OME lifts. 5 Toyota, 1 GX460 and 1 Disco 2. Trail, work and DD.

The moral of this fiasco?....stay away from FrackBook trail runs. Usually on a trail run there is always the weakest link and you compensate. In this case....everyone was the weakest link. I still shake my head on this. Reminds me of Lemmings.

Yup. Of the 3 FB trail runs I’ve been on, 2 of them ended in an idiot who made me nervous getting dangerously stuck or breaking a part...leading all of us to not be able to leave for hours...

He was none. I’ve wheeled with @ColoradoTJ before in his Jeep. I felt the boulders within an inch. He’s one of the smartest wheelers out there. Besides, he doesn’t own a Tundra. He has a vehicle that can pull a Tundra at ease. One of the nicest guys I know that will stop anywhere to help anyone.
