So true about a lot of the trails here. Freakin Outbacks dragging the occasional muffler spotted. It's really all about the great views! But then again, there are some very challenging trails.....

 

And we have TRES. Who else is up?

What's the dates and where it'd be nice to get out and meet some of the other forum members.

I roll into town on the 20th, staying in a motel till our apartment is ready on the 22nd.

 

We'll see when the Front Range opens up. I will need to unpack my stuff first, so it wont be right away for me.

 

What part are you waiting to open up?

 

I know of a trail that literally had us stopped that we need to finish @COMiamiFan.

 

I saw the pictures from that. Looked like fun.

I know. I bet with no snow that trail will be boring now LOL

I took this tonight after I rode Buff Creek. Only saw two other humans in 3 hours of bike riding.

 

nice my sister lives over in kings valley. like two hundred stairs just to get to their front door...

 

Super fitness just going to and from the car. I imagine a Costco run being the Kings Valley version of CrossFit.

 

yeah they got a little bench half way up when i get winded... damn smoker for 20 years...

 

that might be awhile. it's currently under covid closure. my guess is that it won't open until some time in june. a lot of the trails in that area don't open until july on a good year...

 

Down south I believe FR are open. But then again looks like a run won't happen until Memorial Day anyways so we'll see.

a lot of the seasonal closures start opening around the 2nd week of june. depending on how far you want to go options could include some stuff off rampart, around woodland park or maybe even up around red feather. pole hill up near estes is always a nice little cruise but that's on seasonal closure until 6/1.

i've been wanting to explore what's available around lost park at some point along with a few other spots off 285 between fairplay and buena vista.

 

Memorial Day is out for me. My company gave us an additional paid 40 hrs Covid time off. Using all of it to go off grid at my property starting on the 22nd. I need the time off. Too freaking busy at work. Costilla County has stayed at 3 confirmed Covid cases for 6 weeks now.

 

So are we thinking memorial day then?

 

Memorial day would be good but it's gonna be crazy crowded on the front range that weekend especially coming off a state wide stay at home order.
