Color matched TRD Pro grill insert

Dish soap works for me, then I use a 3m grey scuff pad, wash again with dish soap, dry thoroughly and after that, I wear gloves any time I handle it...

Finally, before applying adhesion promoter, use a clean rag to apply wax & grease remover solvent (liberally) then another clean rag to wipe dry.

Now you're into painting... Just follow the instructions, it varies from product to product and most of my experience is with catalyzed primers and clears, so not much help

I know this is an old post but this thread helped me decide on matching my grill so I wanted to share and say thanks to the op for posting the question.

 

I ended up wrapping the center bar. It ended up being the easiest and fastest option. Came out okay but not great. I'll keep it like this for a while

 

I can't find anyone in my area willing to vinyl wrap and color match my hood bulge and grille surround.
