    Looks really sharp!! Nice!

This is what I want my front end to look like! Last decision for me is to either go color matched door handles or matte black.

Thanks. $517 shipped painted with tundradude34 discount. It's steep for sure, but since I work out of town each week, I don't have a lot of time to mess around with it.

Thanks. I'm really happy with how it turned out. This Red is pretty rare I think, I haven't seen any in this color/cab/bed configuration.

I bought mine at local Toyota dealership unpaint end caps and have body shop matching paint based on my vin#. It turned out pretty nice. I paid $450 for parts and painted.

I just posted in another thread about MGM vinyl wrapped end caps. Thought I'd share here too.

After finally getting some free time, I wrapped my front end caps this past weekend. I'm also installing some BD Squadron Sport fogs. As part of the disassemble I discovered I needed some new fog bezels, which should arrive before week's end. In the interim, I'm going to work on the rear caps this week.

For those interested, I'm using Oracal vinyl.
After a lot of initial research I went with Oracal as it's easy to work with, responds well to heat and stretching, and is durable. I learned that a lot wrapping shops use Oracal so it was a no-brainer. Also, the necessary stretching and heating can sometimes effect the color saturation on cheaper vinyl, especially with metallic colors. Although a great product, a couple of the shops I spoke with said 3M tends to be less forgiving to work with.
I wrapped my hood bulge and mirror caps back in Oct. and I wanted to make sure after some off-roading, hunting season and a few thousand miles, how it would hold up. In short, completely satisfied!

    Caps:
    Endcapwrap3.jpg

Bulge and mirror caps, abt 6 weeks after install. Looks the same today.

Big ol' box from Sparks scheduled to arrive today!

Debating on playing hooky for a few hours to run home and install. Gotta be honest I'm a bit intimidated by the amount of crap you have to remove from the truck to swap the front corners.

I heard you can remove he whole bumper and then remove the end caps. I'd rather to it this way than risk breaking any of the sensitive grill tabs.

I had my chrome front caps done, and there is one spot at the very top end of each one that barely touches the plastic bracket on the under headlight panel. This is under moderate off road use, probably fine on the street, it would not hurt the chrome, but the paint can’t take it. See in the corner where the metal crunches together from stamping, the plastic ones have much more clearance. Bumper down and forward maxed.

Found these on eBay, includes both caps and seals for $170.00 delivered. I’m going to run them unpainted because I want an all black bumper. Will update on quality.

I considered these at one point, but they're all plastic. I decided it best to just wrap my current caps and keep the structural support of metal end caps.

I had the same thought, but the metal caps hit if you pound it off road. I suspect that is why the plastic made for paint caps have more clearance.

IMO, If I was off-road that much/hard, I think I'd be looking for an aftermarket replacement with truly more clearance.

These plastic ones are the same dimensions as the metal. For me, my biggest factor was that I added the bd squadrons and I did not want them clipped into plastic caps.

Good luck with them. Let us know how they turn out.

I have an 18, limits bumper choice. That was 29 miles off road, not much or hard... The bumper corners are shaped much different in that area, the stamped steel bunches together. I feel like you missed my point, it’s just a caution for anyone contemplating this route, my painter feels the same.

Interesting...I've never heard/ noticed the caps being different or having changed on the 18's.

No, sorry I’m being confusing, they are the same. The metal and plastic have different profiles in that area because stamp vs. product made in a mold. Go look at the dealer, it is blatantly obvious.
