anyone with old tundra and plastic bumpers? how do they hold up?
i know there are a lot of anti chrome people here :duel:I am concerned that my rear bumper is plastic. even the front is half chrome ... I paid a lot of $ and want to see more chrome :D granted you anti chrome people are starting to brain wash me! maybe its a new thing or fashion ... car manufacturer love the new trend since plastic is cheaper and lighter than chrome :annoyed:

my old cars with plastic bumpers faded and looked ugly after several years under the sun but my 20 years old Tacoma still have a very nice and shinny chrome bumpers with no rust.

If you like chrome, go with chrome. It's your truck! I would think the painted bumpers will hold up as well as the paint on the truck itself. But, bumpers are often subjected to more abuse than the rest of the truck. You can always go after market too, I am. I just feel like my bumpers are a bit wimpy.

I like some chrome on my truck.:crapstorm:No plans to change the chrome bumpers and I have chrome side steps. No plans to change the chrome front grill. I did go with black on my bull bar however. Do what you like not what all the people on here think.

was trying to get info for down the road, i'm not changing the color matched bumper yet and when or if starts to crack or faint, it will be "Shiny & Chrome" :bananadance:

I've been thinking about blacking out the chrome caps. Just not sure how it would look with the silver...
