yep bank account is running low from it..
By the pic it looks like metal fatigue or when the spring was made it had a void in the metal what caused the failure. If this was a void failure makes be wander if they are x-ray the coils now.

Was there a chance the other side might have been bad too? Did they change one or both?

Ha. Only cause I have a DD now so truck stays in the garage. But I think I need to hide the keys from the wife. She's starting to like other dudes nodding at her because of the truck

I wish I could have seen the stamping (logo/PN) on the spring sooner. Not Eibach. I created all the Toytec part numbers with Doug over the last 10 years.

Glad this worked out. Doug and the Toytec folks are the best.

So some of the Boss systems have Eibach springs and some don't? How can we tell if ours is Eibach or not?

Hopefully you have a good set of springs this time. Shit happens and the vendors jumped all over it.

Pretty impressed actually. That is why I didn't drop the coin on 4 Fox COs and stuck with King Shocks.

I would agree that it was an "inclusion" (a flaw like a gas bubble, or slag) in the alloy, the darker oval area at the bottom of the break has a small round dark area at the bottom of it. This is where the crack started from, and the curved "beach marks" (think waves lapping the shore as the tide goes out leaving a pattern in the sand) show how the crack spread out from that point, which is the large darker area. The origin of the crack is always at the center of these beach marks. The remainder of the break is rough and granular, because it broke in an instant, once the crack spread far enough that the remaining material was stressed beyond its limit.

Failure analysis is neat stuff, hey? :)

Vendors who stand behind their stuff this well is neat stuff too.
