Honestly I had to go get to alignments. Because Toyota screwed up the first one. But something still just doesn't feel right I don't know what it is. I can feel vibration in the steering wheel. And my driver front wheel is more tucked under the fender flare than my passenger side which is not right. As for the ride definitely seems a little stiffer then my 5100's felt. I don't know maybe if I go back and try and have things adjusted one more time it'll get a little better. I just don't want to wear my tires out. The guy at the alignment shop said I should be okay. But I don't know how if one wheel is more under one Flair than the other that doesn't seem right to me and it bothers me. Honestly right now at this moment I think I like the 5100 ride a little better but that may only be because I'm not fully set up properly. Not saying it's a bad ride though. I'm thinking the beefier rear shackles as well maybe stiffening the ride also.

@JerseyTundra1260 those camber numbers are wacky. Also too much toe in my opinion.

Check out my numbers from last week. Truck rides perfect. You should easily be able to get these numbers with your setup. Maybe others will chime in on your numbers, but I wouldn't be happy with them. I would tell the tech exactly what you want your numbers to be, "within spec" is not good enough.Alignment.jpg

This is my carrier bearing drop kit correct? I am still experiencing vibration and shutter while taking off from a dead stop. Any ideas why? I also still have to go back Friday to try and get my alignment straightened out better. I can feel a vibration steering wheel as well.

If I get under there will it be pretty easy to see if I have it? Maybe that's the issue maybe I do not have it I thought it came with the toytec kit

Generally those don't come with the lift kit, I had to purchase mine separately in the past when I did the rear shackles

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
So in my Tacoma I had the same thing after I changed out my U-joints and reinstalled the driveshaft. I had put the carrier bearing upside down.

so you have one way to mount it right, if you get vibrations then go under your truck, take out the 2 bolts droop your shaft just enough to spin the carrier bearing 180 degrees.

That was the issue I had, could be the same for you. Just a thought and its easy to test.

Well my freakin nightmare Tundra alignment story continues.... Here is my latest print out after my third alignment in 2 weeks. Now this shop I just bought A2 comes highly recommended. And he assured me it's a good alignment. Funny thing is the print out sheet I showed him from the last alignment I had done last Saturday after Toyota butchered it said totally different than what the truck was actually showing he said. So he was basically like I don't know where they got those numbers from or whose print out that was. So that's not the end of the story. I proceeded to drive out from the place at a slow speed and the truck starts hopping so much so that my daughters were making that sound as if somebody hits your back as was I. So I called him immediately and told him something is not right so I have to bring it back again Monday. Originally when I put my wheels and tires on they stuck out just a hair past my flares. When I got it back from the alignment shop last Saturday the driver side front was tucked in more than the passenger side front. When I just picked it up tonight he said they took them back under when they did the alignment so they're just about even with the flares maybe a hair under which I don't want. He told me his Tech took it down the highway at 80 miles an hour and it drove good there might have been a slight little vibration. Well whatever the hell they did is not right. I just installed the carrier bearing drive shaft spacers yesterday and it drove light years better than it did coming home tonight. Here are the specs on the three current alignments I just had done from most recent to Toyota alignment . To be continued.......

Sounds like you have 2 unrelated issues.

The most recent alignment looks better. I still don't like -.4 camber on the left front. I would worry about the alignment being spot on more than the appearance or "eye-balling" which tire looks exposed in reference to the wheel well, there are too many factors that could effect how the alignment "looks" vs. what the numbers actually say.

As far as the hopping or vibration. Maybe a broken belt on a tire? Maybe bearings going in your front CV axles, maybe these were compromised when the coilovers were installed? Maybe the carrier bearing itself? The bearing drop wouldn't solve the problem of a carrier bearing that has actually failed.

At this point I don't think any of your issues are related to the coilovers or UCA's.

Meanwhile. I've got about 300 miles on my Toytec/Eibach coilovers and JBA UCA's now and love them. The ride is great. They really take the edge off the sharp hits and make the front feel plush enough. Daily driving is perfect. Offroad is good, the front end is stable and the coilovers keep the front tires planted through corners. I haven't bottomed them yet, but I also don't push the truck that hard off-road. The fact that I have $1062 total into the front end makes it even better.

My tires are brand spanking new. Everything else as well seems to be tight on the truck only has 47000 miles on it. Before I drove it to him it drove fine. Just a little bit of a vibration when you get up to speed at the wheel with a very slight pull to the right. The carrier bearing spacer actually helped with vibration while taking off so that improved before I even got there. It's clearly has to be something they did I would think. I have to bring it back Monday. But I will say I was starting to get used to the ride as well. I actually hit a few speed bumps on a road that's near my work and compared to just the 5100's I had much better rebound . Much smoother transition over it. Once I get this thing figured out I think I'm going to really enjoy the ride more and more as I go. One thing I will say is I love this stance and how the truck looks now :D

Well took the truck back to shop today. In true fashion or my luck (take your pick) I pull up to place. The mechanic jumps in to drive it with me in passenger seat. Go down the road and it stops  We drive around some. Drops me off and says drive it. If it starts again bring it back. Go into work late. Pull into parking lot and park. Get out and I smell burning brakes smell. My back drivers side break is hot as hell. Take it back to shop and turns out back caliper is locking up off and on...... Explains the shudder I think. No truck until tomorrow with 2 new rear calipers and break lines. All hopefully working well minus the hit to the wallet :annoyed:

What a nightmare ! Can't imagine all, or any of this is related to the Toytec parts, but maybe the install?... I'm sure the whole thing is bumming you out. At least in the end you will have a sweet suspension!

    I will in about a month! :)
The shackle can be used for 1" or 1.5". From what I've seen on this site 3" coils with 1" shackles will put you around level, 1.5" would be a small rake. I'm going 1.5" to compensate for my canopy.

Update after driving few weeks with the Toytec /Eibach coilovers, SPC Uca's and Toytec shackles and Boss extended rear shocks here is my take on them . First off I love the stance. I think it sits at a perfect height. With the Toytec shackles I am sitting with a little rake I believe on the top setting . Second the ride has grown on me. Seems to be a little bit stiffer than my 5100's were. But in a good way. Feels tighter overall as well in the turns. I think the Toytec shackles tighten up the rear over the Flimsy stock shackles. 3rd the eye candy factor :D those pretty silver coilovers compliment my Silver sky quite nicely. And the rear Boss shocks are nice and shiny  Overall I recommend them. For the price you can't go wrong. I am sure after they break in a little more I may even enjoy them better.

So is the general consensus on these that they are a good middle ground between 5100s and 6112s? Would it be worth the extra $300 or so to get 6112s for light offroading and mostly street driving?

Had these Eibach Coilovers for over a year sitting in my garage. With two young kids, I never got a chance to install until now. Man, I wish I didn't wait so long. What a difference. Went from a readylift spacer to these. Ride is so much smoother. Definitely feels more planted. Overall, handles 100% better. Cant wait to test these out on some of the trails. Anybody that is on the fence about getting a coilover for a 3 inch lift, that doesn't break the bank and rides just as good as stock, if not better, I suggest you go with these. Also, for all you DYI's, the install was a breeze. It took me about 3 hours from start to finish by myself. A big thank you to all the info that you forum members posted on tips and tricks for installation. It made it really easy.
