Code P0710 Transmission Fluid Temp Sensor A Circuit

Hey All,
My check engine light is on because of code P0710. I changed the sensor yesterday and deleted the code but the engine light came back on for it. Truck shifts great and no trans issues to report. It is has a 2003 tranny swap. Anyone have any ideas. I used the search bar before posting this and didn't find anything credible.

How long ago was the swap?

Did you verify that the valve body has the same casting ID number as the original before you swapped?

Double check that you followed the proper procedure when replacing the ATF temp sensor. Check the wiring for a short and then if all good, it's an ECM issue.

@The Black Mamba Wow Man. This is incredible info. I am grateful for this. The trans was swapped out allegedly by previous guy around 2016. My truck been running this code for 3+ years now and finally decided to swap out the sensor. You link is amazing. I'm happy theirs several guys like you on here to help without nonsense.
