Has anyone coated the underside of their truck with fluid film? Do you think it’s necessary and if so, any tips on applying it?

I did my past f150 behind the bumpers, rear diff and hitch. No rust after 5 years, does great on the power running board too, didn't help it being a Ford as it put me back into a Toyota.
    Thanks Ford:thumbsup:

Just have to remember to apply monthly in the winter time as needed depending on the weather.

    Got to search first. https://www.tundras.com/threads/undercoating.131047/

Fluid film in rust prone climates works great. Only downside is that things that are rubber do NOT hold up well to this stuff.
Easy to apply in rattle can product. 2-3 cans will do the truck and make it smell horrible for a few days.

I coated the underside of my 2023 TRD SR5 DC with it. Took the spare tire off and coated everything steel I could find, except the exhaust. I also sprayed the steel wheel on the spare. Paid special attention to the rear axle housing since my 2012 Tundra had significant rust on this part and my brother's first gen Tundra rusted through and leaked diff oil. Didn't spray the sound deadening panel ahead of the rear wheels. Also sprayed the inner lower lip of the tailgate since this was the worst painted part on my 2012 that rusted - although it didn't rust through anywhere. Sprayed the receiver hitch from as many angles as I could, again because my 2012 rusted there. I'd say, spray yours as soon as possible since it stays tacky a long time.
