Okay, I might need to do that. My full size spare is under now but it touches one side of the shackle I installed yesterday.. I might do that

Yep, I tried doing one and it helped a little but both were needed. It was kind of a bitch drilling out the studs. Be sure to wear eye protection because hot metal is flying.

No but I’ve seen them installed behind the axle instead of below on lifts.

Im looking at getting a set of the Toytec's—I think 1.5" will be perfect on my truck.

If I currently have CB +2's, does anyone know if CB poly bushings work with the Toytec shackles? From the pics I feel like they do.

I don't see why not since the bushing goes into the eyelet of the leaf spring.

Ok, really ignorant question....when installing shackles, do you install at the rear joint only, or do you install at both the front and rear of the leaf spring? In other words, do you install 4 shackles or only 2 shackles?

Okay, I'm going out on a limb here and asking a question that might seem dumb to some. When going with ToyTec or CB shackles, is it necessary to replace the factory leaf spring bushings with poly? Or, if your truck is fairly new like mine, can you just run the factory bushings? What are the Pro's & Con's?

Its not necessary for the Toytecs. With the CB shackles you have to because of the way they are designed (why they come with them)—but with the toytecs it will just improve the ride quality/reduce bed bounce slightly with the poly bushings.

10-4, but I don't get any bed-bounce now with the factory bushings. Slick as glass. Only reason I am considering them is for towing my boat. The PRO's tend to sit VERY level.

They are cheap enough that I would swap them to the polys.

Pulled up this thread looking for info after installing my Toytec adjustable shackles. I installed the new poly bushings in the leaf spring and when I torqued the lower bolts to 75 ft-lbs and there are no threads showing - the nut is flush with the end of the bolt. It’s the same on both sides. I have 1 washer between both the bolt head and nut and shackle.

Something just doesn’t seem right and wanted to ask if anyone else’s install is like this? It seems the bolt should be about a 1/2” longer. See pics.

    @Toytec Lifts ?

Are the “poly bushings” mentioned here the “Toytec Adjustable 1-1.5" Lift Shackles with Spring Bushings” on the Toytec website? Or something separate?

You have the option to add them when you add shackles to your cart.

You guys getting any driveshaft vibration with the toytec shackles set at 1" or 1 1/2", or the CB 1" .625" kit?
Wondering how much of a pinion angle change these shackles create and at what point the typical crewmax needs a carrier drop shim or see vibrations.
Should be installing the Elka 0-2" kit at 1.5" in a few months and looking at shackle options to maintain a slight rake for towing.

I would install the carrier bearing kit to eliminate the vibrations. It's only $15.00 or so.

    Agree.
Looking at the Deaver or Icon 1.5' leaf packs as another option. Not sure if these require the drop as well.
For a couple of bucks and a few minutes I'd definitely give it a try.
