I used to do this cause my previous led headlights sucked unless it was clear out.
I switched headlights to VLEDS and now only run the BD fog when needed. I deal with a little less light on the highway in order to gain a sh!t ton on backroads or when no one is in front of me if needed on a main road I’ll use them. I don’t just leave them on though.

No, too bright, I did the anytime fog mod and run them with my 40" onx6 and highbeams.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
I think it depends on what type of lens you go with and how you orient them. i.e., I have the driving combo ambers. I positioned them with the wide lens on the bottom and the spots on the top. Even with only half the throw being wide lenses, I get flashed quite a bit by passers by. I've got to where I run them only on the side roads or when weather/fog requires.

I have two generations ago squadron sports, back when they were 1800 lumens, baja claimed street friendly on these, but once they upped the lumens per pod into the 2400+ and now at 3150 lumens, they stopped says the lights are street friendly. Even with the wide cornering lens the light does not have a cut off like SAE fog lights and the WC lens projects light vertically above the headlight cut-off and can be blinding to oncoming traffic. I only use mine in bad weather conditions or out on country roads whe. I dont have oncoming traffic. I am waiting for the release of the SAE Baja lights

I would not advise running the BD squadron sports on the road around any traffic. Keep them for empty highways and back roads, they're great lights though and I definitely recommend them to anyone!

Bummer, I ordered these same lights last week for $100 more! ohh well. Installed them this past weekend and can definitely confirm they are way too bright to run all the time!

Most say they are too bright but I run my squadron pros all the time. I ordered them in wide cornering Amber which is really yellow. I tinted the lenses with actual amber film. I also pointed them slightly down, this was before they came with bezels, you can’t adjust them down if you have the bezels on. Down side is the gap that the bezel covers is always going to be there.

Even with all my tweaking they are still very bright and cut thru fog with ease, but I never get flashed, think it’s because the warmth tone of amber is less piercing to the eyes than white or yellow.

And these are pros not sports, I plan to run my sport all the time on my second gen.

Same here. Sucks they are only shipping out west coast order first. They should ship based on who ordered first. I have a feeling i wont get them in time for my roadtrip.

I got the same email today as well. Last night I did get a shipping notification also from Rago not BD. I guess its a good thing everything is coming in one box...if it makes it. no big deal if it doesn't. Right now tracking says by 8pm on the 24th. Not holding my breath.

Also read the line above the SWAG BAG.

Rago is TRYING to ship in the order received. BD was shipping the lights as built to Cali first to help expedite their shipping as well.

Yeah I remember something like that with my first set i bought before the sale. It took an extra 5 days to get a shipping confirmation for my first set that shipped straight from Bd. The wife's set with ditch brackets took until yesterday to get a shipping email. I had read somewhere that shipping delays may happen with that sale and this was after the huge BD sale from Black Friday too. I didn't call or email but was going to on Monday. I hope you guys get your lights soon!

Does the harness for these need an extension of mounting on ditch brackets? Mine seems to be too short to connect the two lights.

Did you just buy the 10’ extension? I’m not seeing anything shorter but that’s far longer than I need.

No problem what i did was match the gauge wire to their harness. Which was 20 guage wire. I found in my scrapes of wire.

BD and Rigid are supposed to be coming out with SAE compliant fogs sometime this year. I wish there was a mailing list as to when they come out. Definitely would want a set.

Does anyone know if the lenses on the Baja's get warm to melt snow/ice?

I drive in a good bit of snow and freezing precip. I’ve never had to chisel out my sports. Can’t speak to the warmth, but have never had an issue with them being obscured.

Supposed to be first quarter this year... I think for the BD’s. Don’t take that as 100% though. Just off of memory from a post on one of the threads. Check the BD general discussion thread. I also don’t believe they will melt the buildup. I didn’t even know that was an issue or concern until this year though.

I’ve been running mine when the headlights are on. Have only had two oncoming cars flash their high-beams. They are bright, but not overpowering.
