Vegetables are good just like that, with the exception of okra, squash and eggplant.

okra, squash and eggplant are not food. They are hail-mary desperation ploys by starving people to keep them alive until meat. Just like beets and zucchini. That isn't fit for human consumption either.

Some other vegetables can be eaten with a multitude of dips. Or cooked with a high percentage of things to make it taste good. Like garlic. And bacon.

Garlic has been used for thousands of years to give flavor to crap food a dog wouldn't eat. Just sayin........some countries season dog meat with garlic make it edible.......

Hummus and cockroaches are the only things that survive a nuke. The roaches then feed on the hummus.

Dried beets are used for cattle food. Canned beets are good for target practice.

I'm pretty sure this is what they said about the livery stable workers and the horse and buggy industry.

The horse and buggy cost was out of reach for most of your average folks. The highest paved road in the USA is the road up to Mt Evans here in Colorado. 14,264 ft. It was built by fat cat $ made in the mining and oil business back in the Victorian era so rich fat cats could drive up there in their Fords. The average Joe's would have to walk up........just sayin. Google the life hard rock miners had here back then. They were lucky to live past 40.

They are ok but when I was kid in elementary school back in the mid 60's in Orygun, we were fed canned beets a couple times a week. Puke. I love salmon but absolutely hate salmon loaf. They served that crap every Friday....heh....heh...

The cafeteria salmon loaf was pressure cooked in large pressure cookers so the bones still mixed in were soft enough to eat. Need I say more?.ha!

It would be cool to see an organized shutdown of all gas & diesel stations/ truck stops for a week nationwide to remind folks what is the only viable fuel solution that we have now. I'm all for using the various sources on the energy pie chart. Why can't we have them all and use the resources wisely???

Orygun is a great state. So are the DUCKS! I live in Colorado now and have a nice piece of off grid property. I could transfer to our lab in Portland but......it's in Portland.. ...
In Orygun you still can't pump your own gas. I had several friends in highschool who had that job filling gas, washing windshields, checking the fluids and such in the summer. Didn't pay much but was a temporary job. Wasn't supposed to be a life long career. Same with fastfood joints. If all those station attendants went on hiatus for a week.....that would be a wakeup call too.

You want to gag? I bought gas at 29 cents per back in the day in Orygun. Couldn't fill my tank on my own back then either. Can't wait to see headlines....."gas stations ban city". You sometimes get what you wish for. I like this thread..

Yeah, well I didn't vote for him. Gas is going to skyrocket its their ulterior motive. Alternatives baby, alternatives!!!! Can that be construed as political, because I have already been banned once for that.

We're the horse and buggy prematurely banned? Also, I am not sure what your point is? Did I mention anything about people losing their livelihoods?

The gas station ban is like the calls for defunding the police in Minneapolis - just virtue signaling without any real substance and once they realize it's backfiring horribly it will be rolled back

My response to this is the same as my response to truckers blocking the highway in support of a new pipeline or Indians here blocking the freeway to protest anti-farmer legislation in the Punjab region: how is punishing average working class people who are just trying to get on with their lives going to help anything?
