I actually made a jumper wire to keep lighters on all the time, I’ll pull the “P/OUTLET NO.1” relay out and jump both contacts. I needed this option to run fridge overnight if I need, I have a secondary battery and I’m working in the charging glitch at the moment.....I need to trick alternator to see less voltage than battery has in order to stay charging while engine is running.

Alright, so I am new to the forum and have been having issues with my outlets. I have a 2011, so my fuse panels are different and as far as I can tell, I only have the 15 amp fuse under the dash. It keeps blowing as soon as I turn the key to acc. I pulled the rear outlet apart and the plug was semi-melted and the outlet is burnt. I am at a loss for where to look now, but I cannot get any power in any of my 4 outlets in the truck. Maybe a relay?

Hi! I am new here and have 2012 Toyota Tundra Crew Cab Max. I have checked and replaced the two fuses under my dash and the power plugs are still not working. Is there another fuse under the hood labeled something else?

I have a 2016 SR5+. The console and rear power outlets are fused under the dash by the emergency brake. I wanted these to be functional all of the time. I located the fuse but not being a contortionist I could not deal with working in that area. I ran a new wire from the fuse box under the hood using an "add a fuse" thing and connected it to the in-console power outlet ( which is also connected to the power outlets on the rear of the console), removed and insulated the original power wire, left the ground wire connected. Pretty simple actually. What surprised me was the very small wires that were used to power up these outlets. I personally would not think that these would carry 15 amps for any period of time (maybe emergency air pump?). I went down to a 10 amp fuse and still not very comfortable with that, but I only use it for charging my phone and emergency flash light. That fuse panel under the dash could have been put in a more accessible place if their engineers had to work on it themselves.

"Hope figuring this out will help someone else save some time."

Yep 2 days and probably $400.00 wasted depreciating fed res notes - nearly took it to the stealership before throwing the hail mary into the forum.

    Thanks guys -

I'm having a crazy time with all of this as well. I installed this plug in the outlet facing the rear seat:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092M6S98V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

The odd thing is it doesn't blow any of the fuses but all the other cig/12v/USB ports in the dash and center console stop working. The new plug stays lit up but doesn't charge anything. If I disconnect the new plug, the old plugs will not start working again until I completely kill the ignition and let it sit for a minute or two. Is it possible that the electronics in the new one plus the higher wattage are killing the other plugs but just not popping the fuses?

I'm planning on getting some normal USB's and not the high watt fast charger to see if the circuit returns to "normal".

Thank you for this. I'm about to install my dash camera and was going to use CIG. I'll use pwr outlet instead.
