Chrome Grill and Hood Bulge

I've thought of that myself, just don't know if 1st rock chip is gonna shine thru chrome. That plus cost when all I need off it is top bulge. I've seen 1 guy selling both for 60 but didn't respond to my inquiry. Told him I'd buy just the bulge for his price of both. Then he can sell grill separate and shipping wouldn't be as much. No answer. These fn things new with shipping are around 200 bucks. Wtf?

Shipping costs wont change much. Just the grille by itself is an over size item. The size it what jacks up the shipping cost. I am surprised that body shops don't buy the OEM grilles for repairs. Maybe people insist on new parts. Heck mine is like new. Not a scratch on it. Came off with under 1k on odo.

 

Yeah for me i just have a deep scratch in plastic top bulge. I hit it with touch up but still pretty noticeable. It's something I can live with until I find that deal. Just figured I'd put it out there in case someone decides to do an aftermarket grill on mgm and don't need bulge. I'm waiting for that guy who says here Mike ur such a good dude u can have mine that I don't need, just cover the shipping. Don't worry I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. We can all dream sometimes.

 

Maybe we should go around smashing people's grills so we can create a market for them.

I gotta admit, a small part of me would like to go around smashing all the pro grills on non pros. No offense to like every single tundra owner out there. My truck has got upset, it no longer feels special anymore with all the supposed pro exclusive grills running around on trucks these days. I loved the grill when the pro 1st came out. Once in a blue moon I would see 1 coming down the street and I was like oh wow look a trd pro, that's exactly what I'm getting 1 day. Now it just seems to be the same ol grill that everyone has and my only way to tell if it's a pro or not is wait for the bed stamp. Thank God most don't feel the need to pay that much just for a letter stamp. Makes me either want to smash the non pros with said grill, or I'm guessing this might be the better option, me have to pay to replace the grill i once loved. Thanks everyone for ruining it for me, my need to be different is now kicking in on the pro grill thanks to all u jerks out there. Disclaimer the smashing of ur grill and me calling u jerks I'm only kidding. The rest is true though.

 

I wanted a Pro too but after to talking to these jerk off dealers that wanted MSRP and the fact that they discontinued the Pro for 2018 caused me to jump on a 2017 TSS Off Road. It was not so much the Pro grille that I wanted but just to be rid of the chrome with something that looked good and I knew would fit well. I was even looking at Silverados because the Z71 have colored matched front ends and grills. I just could not see myself in a Chevy. If Toyota offered something similar I would not have had to look at Pro grilles. I suggest that you take your complaint up with Toyota corp..

 

Although it sux to pay to get a pro with what toyota calls a exclusive pro grill, it ain't that serious or worth my time to make a complaint, like I said I'm mostly just joking around with just about every tundra owner out there. Just sux that what I thought I was paying for in the grill amongst all the other benefits I like in the pro, that everyone now has 1 too. Oh well, can't be mad guess that's just how it is. It does make a tundra look nicer imo. That and I like the platinum grills. I wonder why there ain't nearly as many ford guys that pay to put on the raptor grills on non raptor? That question just popped into my thick skull.

 

Tell you what. Buy my stock grill. Then you'll be the only one driving a TRD Pro with an SR5 grill on it. I'll have your money, and your truck will be a special snowflake again. Win/win for both of us.

Sounded reasonable to me. Personally, I hate chrome, especially as much as the stock grill has. My last Tundra came with grill and bumpers color matched, radiant red. It sucks that they dropped that option.

What really sucks though, is that they quit making Tundras in radiant red. Broke my heart to go with black. I'm a peacock. You gotta let me fly!

 

2 reasons. #1 the chrome Ford grill is not quite as ugly as the Tundra and #2 I think the Ford guys really like chrome.

 

Gonna start buying these and plastidip in Miami Dolphins colors for Sundays
Maybe another in x-mas colors too. Red, white and blue for 4th of July.

 

Only problem is with all that chrome on the stock grill my truck still won't feel like that special little snowflake it once did. U guys ruined it and ruined it forever. It will just never be the same thanks alot u bunch of jerks, my special little snowflake is now yellow from being pissed on. Chrome grill, pro grill, it don't matter anymore, no matter what that special feeling is now gone and never coming back. I hope all u guys are happy now, u really hurt my trucks feelings.

Makes sense except I have to disagree on the ugly chrome part. Imo just about any chrome is ugly ford, toyo, dodge ect. I really don't know wtf ford was thinking on those chrome tailgates. Those are hideous imo. Far worse than the tundra grill. I guess u got to love chrome to get one of those. That and the absolute worst of all is the Ram in chrome. U take any color besides silver and throw a gigantic chrome Ram on it, I throw up in my mouth everytime I see 1 of them. I wonder what some of these designers are on or why are they're even being paid to come up with shit like that. Even if i wasn't a big Toyota guy the tailgate chrome on ford and dodge would ruin it for me, theres just no way.

 

Lol yeah that would solve everything, get it it's manhood back. Nothing like getting a good big ol set of truck nutz can't solve. Thats another 1 I cant seem to figure out. What would possess someone. I mean to put on someone elses truck as a joke i get. But for someone to put on their own, uhh no tnx. Ahh man u got me cracking up over here.

 

I don't get that either why would someone want to put those bulls balls hanging from the hitch or why someone want to put some big hex bolt nuts

 

I got the pro grill and headlights already. Too bad u didn't have a pair of truck nuts to trade me. For a pair of those to get my trucks manhood back after the pro grill dissapointment I'd trade u anything off my truck, just name the item. I think the truck nutz are just about the only thing that can get that special little snowflake feeling back again to where it once was. Lol

 

When my daughter was about 6, we saw a truck with some, and asked me what they were. That was pretty awesome.
That's almost as cool as the guys with the f***it stickers on their windows. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to have that conversation with my kids guys.
