Unfortunately I got rid of the tundra, but when I traded it in the wave left over from the kink was barely noticeable if you were looking for it.

OEM COLOR MATCH UPDATE

I got an update from our shipper that our OEM color match material is still on the train to us, and has been since the 18th of May. They said it could arrive anywhere from tomorrow to Wednesday of next week, so that definitely pushes my estimate back. Unless we get it in tomorrow, we will probably begin shipping out parts at the end of next week. In the meantime, we are making preparations so we can ship them out as quickly as possible when the material comes in. Thanks for your patience everyone!

 

does this include 218 black too? I ordered some TPO bumper covers and want to see how the product looks before ordering the color match grill parts.

Has there been any further info on the bending/flexing of the grill cover?

 

EC1 addressed this on post 3862. They changed boxes and expressed concerns to the shipper.

Mine came in with a kink but I just took a heat gun and slowly massaged it back. Have not put it on yet but I don't see it being a issue.

 

opened my box yesterday. looks good so far. do not see any kinks. but did not look too closely.

 

Finally had a chance to install my kit. Started with the rear caps, followed by the front caps...went on pretty well. I do see a tiny corner crack is chrome showing on the back like someone else posted.

The lower grill surround seemed to dry fit well...snapped into place, but once installed there was a bump toward the left (facing the truck) bottom edge under the grill. That actually disappeared the next day. The long adhesive strip along the bottom part didn’t seem to stick...maybe it was that little adhesion enhancer pad that got dried out between parts? Hope it doesn’t blow off on the highway!

On bulge cover I ended up with gaps around the top edges...disappointing. I may try some T-Rex double stick tape in there.

The other thing is the color match...the parts around the grill seem to have a bit of grey in the color. Not normally noticeable, but there.

I’d say the bumpershellz are a win...for the money, nice enhancement. Not so much on the grill surround parts.

Recently bought the truck used (2015, 111k mi.) and wanted to keep the upgrades reasonable. If I had to do it again, I’d have ponied up and extra $200 to do the TRD grill/surround/bulge, and might have been able to offset that selling the old parts.

The overall look is good...if I can get the bulge edges down, I’ll be happy.

 

I've talked to some guys who got some thin 3M tape in that gap to get it to lay down. Do you want me to send you out some?

 

OEM COLORS SHIPPING THIS WEEK

Colored material is slated to come in tomorrow after another delay. Those are going to be going out fast and furious once we get it in, so I'm hoping to have the majority of you guys with your parts in hand by next week!

This pertaining to Eccological, not to Sparks Toyota.
I too have been waiting and waiting for my order to arrive. Leti who works in the front office has a tough job because they are falling behind in orders and have not kept up on keeping buyers aware.
I can understand since people don't like bad news.
I emailed them over the weekend after more than a month without status and asked for a return of remittance, which they did instantly.
My hope is that they work through their growing pains and become a viable aftermarket business for our trucks.
My recommendation to you is to call and talk with them first before placing an order.

installed the bumper shelz... looks great driver side was easy poped right in. passenger took a bit of work with the bumper liner to get back in. Cover took a bit of maniplation also.

 

This is a good idea if there is a certain date that you absolutely need it by. We should be able to predict fairly accurately on individual orders. In general, we are at about a 3 week lead time (for non-OEM colors only). Things have begun to stabilize so we should be able to start bringing that down even as we roll out new options. The growing pains are real, but we're figuring it out lol

 

just installed the hood bulge and grill surround. Put the bumper caps on this morning top corners not quite flush lets see what the sun does to lay them down. otherwise looks good. I do not notice the grey tint some have mentioned with the super white

Did anyone with a silver truck do the matte black and have pictures? How close does the tpo black caps match the black plastic on the bumpers?
