Chrome Delete Covers for Tundra Bumpers - BumperShellz

TPO or color-matched. I have TPO now and may go to color-matched until I find the complete bumper I want.
My rears are color-matched so they'd match at least. What color is your rear bumper?

looks good. yeah been reading the pages. went to one of the site links and only saw the bumper caps.

 

When we start painting here, we will begin with Cement since that is the most popular color after MGM, SS, SW, and AB. Should be in the next 2 months, but I'll continue to update as I get more specific dates!

 

Tomorrow I will begin opening up sales for those 3 colors (MBM, SS, MGM) You will either be in the first group with our early material receipt, or the later group which would be shipping out near the end of May!

Whats the turnaround time for shipping in-stock items? I ordered some TPO covers on the 11th and haven't heard anything since then..

 

Sorry if this is redundant but if we signed up for the waitlist on your site for MGM Bumpershellz are we good to go or is this group buy thing go about differently ? I’m new to this forum this year so I’m not too sure how this group buy stuff goes. Thank you !

COLOR MATCH NEWS

Just placed large orders for MGM, Silver Sky (@Hammy68 lol), and Midnight (Attitude) Black. Material for the initial parts should be here in the next 3 weeks, with the larger material order coming in a few weeks later. I have a long list of people on the waitlist, so I'm just going to grab a couple of them, and a couple of you guys for the initial parts. I will apologize ahead of time for any of you guys who don't get on the initial order because I missed you somehow, or someone was just slightly before you on the list, but with material coming in the way it is, we will be getting to everyone with those colors really quickly here.

Also, super happy to announce that with this new material process for those 3 colors, we have been able to bring the price of the Grille Surround and Hood Bulge down to $325 for the color matched set!

As for the Group Buy for those specific colors, we'll start taking orders either Wednesday or Thursday, so keep an eye out! I'm sure there are other details I left out here, but things are finally moving, so I'm happy!

 

You're sign-up on the wait-list for the waitlist will determine where you are in line when we start shipping, so you've done everything right so far. When we launch the Group Buy, you'll just order on there, but it will your order on the waitlist that will determine the shipping order for the most part.

 

I've already had to push it back to tomorrow or Thursday lol. Not everything is completely in place yet for the Group Buy.

Rule number 1 of Tundra ownership is "Never paint chrome"...it creates a blackhole or a portal to hell.....nothing good will come of it.

J/k... with the right prep you can paint chrome. People usually mess up and don't scour the edges enough so the paint ends up lifting.

 

Theses we’re waiting for me when I got home today. Can’t wait to get out and install them, just have to finish playing 20 questions with the wife since she beat me home.

Got the install done. Took about an hour, half of which was spent cleaning all the bugs off the chrome. The fitment wasn’t perfect and the were a couple of issues where I think the parts might have been damaged during shipping, they had a couple creases that I was able to mostly fix with a heat gun. However the biggest issue I had is on the hood bulge, doing the peel and stick method while being super careful the tape backing ripped about half way through on one of the long pulls, still not sure what I’m going to do about that. Guess if it starts pulling off I’ll remove and put on new tape and try again. Overall I’m really happy and am finally 100% happy with how my truck looks.

 

Looks great! Do you have any big tips or suggestions for those of us who will be installing soon?

That's no worse than the gaps from the factory all over the Tundra.

No big tips, just follow the directions it’s not very hard. Be super careful doing the peel method so you don’t rip the backing like I did.

The gaps isn’t even like the factory gap but it’s only noticeable if you right next to the truck.

First thing my wife did when we got her 4Runner is debadge and dechome it. So after asking how much it cost her next statement was “took you long enough”. That said we have a sick little guy at home so she hasn’t gone out to look at it yet.

 

Yeup, went out and looked at mine it’s practically the same. The grill surround covers are just following how the grill sits on the truck.
