That’s an area ive been paying attention to and has yet to change. Besides that, everything else seems legit.

Doesn’t look like it’s going to warm up anytime soon and this is the last thing I need to install for my chrome delete. Can I use a hairdryer to warm up the bumper for installation?

Can't wait for the grill and hood bulge. Can you give us a sneak peak of how they attach?

I was wondering the same thing.

It's 15-25f* here and won't warm up until April.

I got mine installed before it got too cold, but used a hair dryer to warm up both the bumper and the 3M tape before install. So far, so good.

I’m looking at ordering some of these - but curious what finish to select if I don’t want to color match the midnight black I have, but want to match the black plastic centerpiece of the bumper. Anyone do something like this? I was thinking the matte black would do the trick. Anyone have any pictures of the matte black?

I went with the textured TPO. It matches the black center well. Pictures of the install are a couple posts back.

I just installed mine today, 50ish degrees but still used a hairdryer to heat the bumper and 3m tape.

Mine went on today too. It was cool outside but I couldn't wait 3-4 months to do them.

Washed area, cleaned area, alcohol area, warmed area, kept tape and bumper covers inside to stay warm. Heat gun to warm up chrome before install.

Honestly, they were a bit more difficult than I expected. Most stuff lined up in the end, but it took a few dry fits and tries. I ended up loosing one bolt underneath (no clue where it went) and I'll replace it on my next trip to somewhere that sells them.

I don't see any reason they won't stay on through the winter and with my winter install. The rears go under portions and screw in multiple places. The fronts were a much easier install as they don't go under any trim pieces and just snap into place and easily screw in where some bolts are removed. Stacking the extra cover and aligning with the existing homes was the most time consuming and stressful, before the 3m tape stuck or I couldn't ship them anymore.

Overall, I am impressed with the fit and finish. Unless you knew otherwise, you would think they are factory bumper pieces and not added after the fact. No sharp edges, wrap around corners, no shards from the cutting etc.

Love the look. Once they get as dirty as the rest of the truck or I wash the truck, they will look even better. Right now, they are the only clean item on my truck. The TPO was a perfect match to my DIY bed lined surround and the factory bumper pieces.

Had the help of our 13y old son who loves modding the truck, so it was fun to have him and a second set of hands and eyes helped

That will work! Just make sure the bumper surface is warm to the touch where the tape is going to touch down, and I'd keep the BumperShellz inside for a while before you start the install so you can make sure the tape is at about room temperature when you start the installation. The instructions say some other stuff about it.

(also, I just saw that you already installed yours so I understand that all of this is completely useless now)

That would probably be the smartest to do it then, but I don't want to wait that long lol

It's going to be pretty similar to the BumperShellz, but you aren't going to need to uninstall anything to get these on. When I've seen the prototypes being installed, they just kind of slot over the OEM part and the 3M tape on the backside attaches. There will be a little more fine-tuning when we start programming, but they look OEM once they're installed.

We kept ours indoors at all times. Dry fit, then back inside. Only brought them out when it was time to install. Used a heat gun on chrome to make sure it was dry and warm.

I think they went on well and the tape portions are tight against the chrome.

    They sure look good!

I will 2nd this notion for myself with the ‘18 Cement bulge and front caps. Always been a great rest dummy. The concussions say so.

Got my caps today. Tested fitted and fitment is great. Might need to do little trimming and opening up the lower holes, but other than that I like them. Will post photos when it's all done and painted.

Looks nice! What color did you order? Planning on getting it color matched at a local shop?
