maybe a silly question, but does the gloss black match the black tundra? anyone have pictures? just went through 40 pages with no luck..

 

How the F have I spent more in one year on my 2019 Tundra mods then in 12 years with my 2005. Lord help me I had to sell my boat cause it costs less. Please, PLEASE EC1 send me the discount code to keep my fix going. Everyone have a good and safe Thanksgiving.

GRILLE SURROUND AND HOOD BULGE OVERLAY UPDATE
Alright Ladies and Gentlemen. I said I wasn't going to post anything until I had something to show you... well here she is! We did our first full test fit today for the hood bulge and grille surround overlays, and things went really, really well! There are a couple more tweaks we need to make, but by-in-large, the part is flawless. I couldn't be happier! Our style lines line up exactly where they are supposed to, and all the excess is within tolerance. Also, side note, the color match is fantastic for our Super White. This is a platinum so it already had a "color matched" grille surround, and ours matches much better.

Next steps:
We'll be making our tweaks and one last forming run before we pour our CNC fixture and start programming. After we've programmed everything we'll do a last fitment on our end. Just before then, I'll ask for a couple Beta Testers (please do not send me messages wanting to Beta test just yet. I will definitely forget about you between now and then lol). After that, it's group-buy time! My time-frame on all of this stuff is about 1-2 months, so things should start happening pretty quick. The only delay I still see comes with OEM painting, but hopefully we're a lot further along in that process by the time we are starting the group-buy.

@EC1 any idea what pricing will be for the bulge and surround?

 

The gloss black is spot on for 202 "Onyx Black" which is what my Tundra is.
I have a really picky eye and you'd have a hard time convincing me the gloss black Shellz are not the same exact color in any light.
If you have 218 "Attitude Black"....no it's not going to match due to the metallic flake in the Toyota paint. In flat light they will look the same but in direct sunlight you would notice the difference.

 

Stay tuned! I should know within the next two weeks. I just don't want to say anything for sure before we have everything worked out.

 

what’s your review on the product? Like durability? I’m afraid they won’t stay on.
I have a white tss tundra and want to black it out even more then it came. And definitely want to do the bumper covers and if there is something to be able to blackout all the Crome on the grill. Thought about wrapping it to be cheap but these look super cool. Not sure if I need to do FLAT black or the tpo y’all are showing pics of.

 

I'll have other guys speak to a "review" of the product since I'm obviously a little biased lol. Here are some facts about the parts that can inform some of that though:

They are made out of ABS and TPO plastics. Both are already used extensively for exterior applications on your vehicle, so durability as far as the part is concerned will be comparable to what you can expect from your trucks plastic body panels. We also used colored "caps" instead of paint or pre-laminated film, so the finishes should actually hold up better than OEM. For attachment we use 3M tape and the factory bolts that are already available. The type of 3M tape we use is their "PX" line which is specifically designed for surfaces like chrome. It's not something you can pick up at the auto shop. Long story short, they are designed to last longer, and look better over the long run than paint or vinyl. If one does get beat up, you can pop it off and install a new one.
