I paid $88.53... At that price I wasn't worried about messing up because I can always order more if needed.

    Glad I saw this post.

What type of vinyl wrap and where did you buy them?

I want to do the same. Thanks

    I got it from https://www.metrorestyling.com/

I ordered samples and picked the closest match to MGM. It's not a perfect match, but if I don't point it out, you would never notice.

Glad I stumbled on this thread. I've been tossing around either

    a) leaving chrome because doing otherwise seems too much trouble
    b) plasti dip black
    c) wrapping matching color (I also have MGM)

I think you've pushed me squarely into the "c" now. But I think I'm going to try and have someone do it for me. Seems out of my league.

The vinyl I used from www.metrorestyling.com for MGM is now only for "special order". The only size available now is 5ft by 75ft for $611! :( If anyone comes across a deal of this exact vinyl, but in a much smaller size, let me know.

Plasti Dipped mine after all. Came out nice, I think.

Left them on. I took the grill off and the pieces below the headlights (because I also took this opportunity to put the TRD PRO black headlights in).

Taped everything up real good with wide masking tape.

I used Rustoleum Flexi Dip first. I had read somewhere that people liked the spray better. But I found that, even after like 10 coats, I just could not get an even look to it. So I tried genuine plasti dip over that, about 3 or 4 good coats. And it came out great. Looks just like the center section.

So I definitely recommend plasti dip over flexi dip.

Yeah, I'm stoked with how it looks now. All I have left to do is level the front. Hopefully sometime next week.

Sean what's your take on vinyl vs plastidip? Obviously you like it better but for longevity and durability pros cons?

Just dropped my front corners off to be powdercoated. 35 bucks a corner.

My dude that wrapped my Cadillac's chrome said wrap isn't the best option for a truck that hits the trails.

Just start taking the bolts out on the corners. Some clips and what not. Obviously after you take the grill off and farings under the lights.

Thanks for that, I just noticed my primer is beginning to fail. It's a little far for me though. I'm gonna see if there's anything closer, when I get around to it. Right now I'm trying to finish building the last 3rd of my house. It's gonna be nice to finally have the master bdrm and office.
