I’m still working on a few diagrams for the wiring conversion and I’ll also include a few pics of the plugs I’m using to create a plug and play harness for these lights and I’ll be posting them in a new thread. The wiring for the front directional will have to be changed as well. The stock 2014-2017 3 pin plug fits on the new 2018 socket but the ground and directional pin positions need to be swapped for the signals to work. The stock 14-17 sockets with the 4157NA bulbs won't fit into the new housings.

    Stay Tuned

That's for an SR5 correct? The truck I am working on is a 17 Platinum. Waiting for all of the connectors to come in. Looking at the wiring diagrams, shouldn't be that hard. I have the factory wiring diagrams if you need them

Would it be possible for me to get a copy of the wiring diagram form you. I just ordered a set of the lights and I will get working on a harness as well.

Nice work you guys! Is there still a level adjustment to the headlights?

Yes, level adjustment still works. The 14-17 turn signal socket and bulb are the same across all trims. I'm guessing the Platinum and 1794's are just missing the purple parking light wire in this three pin plug because on those trims the purple wire plugs into the 4 pin DRL plug.

Do you know the bulb number / type?

The platinums (probably 1794s too) use 3157CK bulbs. I'm running VLED V3s now but have the V6s on preorder. Are they compatible?

    Thanks in advance.

The 14-17 uses a 4157NAK. The 2018 LED headlight uses a 7444NA. I can't speak for the new V6's but to make the V3's fit in the new smaller opening I had to remove the collar from the VLED unit and then it fit. If you're using Vleds you won't have to change any of the wiring for the directionals

I'm hoping you will be able to share the information you find out with the lights. I have a platinum as well and am very much interested in this headlight swap.

My 14' platinum uses a 3157CK bulb. Sounds like it's different from the trucks that didn't come with LED DRL.

Can you take a photo of the 7444NA bulb socket? Trying to see if it's a regular bulb or a CK type.

Here's a link to show the difference.

Just curious, if you're going to use either the V3's or V6's then you can still use your existing plugs and sockets. Here's the pic for reference

I applaud you guys that read electrical diagrams, its like a foreign language to me. I never have been able to wrap my head around that stuff. I can do some basic wiring buts its very basic lol.

So when someone comes up with a wire adaptor for a 2016 SR5, I will be waiting....lol

I didn’t want to leave the SR, SR5 and Limited crowd out, so I drew up a plan for a PnP harness to add these 2018 LED headlights onto the models that didn’t come from the factory with LED DRL’s. I updated the info in my thread in the lighting section with the info.
