I had these Cooper Evolution H/T on my Tacoma and my BIL just put the same on my sister's RAV4. They are a great tire for a RAV and are made in the USA. They are not AT though.
If you want AT, I would recommend the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. The same AT tread pattern as the AT3 XLT but not as aggressive looking sidewall and are lighter than the XLT. I have been very happy with the Cooper tires.

I actually agree with you. I have no doubt that those Chinese made WildPeaks may be a great tire. That's not my issue. The problem is that China is doing some incredibly evil shit. Their human rights violations are horrible. I can't control what everyone else does but as an individual I'm trying to do my part to not support them. I really don't want this thread to turn political so I'll just leave it at that.

I probably should have clarified this in my original post. It hit me yesterday that my issue was really about China, and not the potential quality issues.

I appreciate the suggestions but I'm running into the same issue in my original post. Neither of these are offered in 225/65/17.

I'm looking at these US made BFGoodright tires. They are not an all terrain but have good reviews.

I did not realize about the size. I see the Evolution Tour is available in 225/65/17, but that's far from an AT. That might be what my BIL installed on my sister's RAV. I know I recommended the Coopers to him, but I don't know what exact model he ended up with.

Very happy with the Yoko G015 SL 265/70/17 on the wife's Tahoe.

Was running the older AT Yokos on the truck some 70k miles ago, was nothing but happy with them then as well.

265/70/17 suggestions do not help me. Thanks though.

    How?

It's the same tire you are considering but a different size.

    Similar SL build.

The are quiet, balance out nicely and ride well regardless of me still waiting for hub rings. They took little weight, giving me the impression that the tires were mfg well.

Not my first go around with the AT from Yoko. Previous experience was great, was very happy especially in wet traction environments. Tread wore well, never made it to high mileage but when they were removed I could easily see them surpassing the thread wear warranty.

You are sure entitled to spend your money in any way you choose to.
I was merely responding to another post implying that all Chinese made stuff is crap, much of it sure is but not all of it and thats all I was saying.

    Good Luck

My mistake. I see now it's the same tire I asked about. I thought it was different. Good to hear a positive review.

Yep. I'm with you there. Given the sheer amount of stuff made in China it is clear that not everything is poor quality.

So I just received some Lt285s. Same part # as on my Tundra that read made in Thailand that I bought a year ago. These new ones read made in China. So they are moving multiple sizes to their chinese factories.

They are, it shows that falkens made in thailand for the last 5 years cant be relied on to still be made there. So if he wants to avoid chinese falkens he will need to see the sidewall rather than go off the specs or reviews of others.
