Check oil light? You have an oil pressure gauge in the gauge cluster don’t you?

Does it actually say check oil on your dash display? Can you post a pic of the light?

My bad for some reason the picture on the dash made me think oh shit my oil. Oil checked out fine btw. Its a check engine plus traction control off.

No worries, if it’s not flashing should be OK to drive until you can get the code read. Pretty sure the traction control light comes on with most engine faults, so get it read to get an idea.

Here are codes I'm getting only thing I did to the truck was change air filters I changed it from a Napa gold filter to a cheap one from Amazon. I'm lead to believe I need to clean the MAF or change spark plugs but maybe someone here has some better insight.
The truck drove fine on the way back about 87 miles no problems at all.

I didnt know that that's good to know that traction control comes on with engine faults because the first thing I thought was that it was the wheel speed sensors just being covered in mud but then I realized the 4lo light wasn't on.

Sounds like your MAF is dirty, especially since you just went through some mud. Clean it with some MAF sensor cleaner.

Other suspects could be a vacuum leak or some sorts. This can cause lean situations.

    @landphil, what do you think?

To further on the discussion, if the simple troubleshooting doesn’t work, may be a faulted O2 sensor, but since both banks are lean, might not be a good indicator.

That's what I was assuming. I'll give a shot at cleaning it tomorrow hopefully it's that or a need for a new sensor. Just odd It happened right after I went through mud. Same spot that caused my truck not to shut off all the way lol.
    Thanks for the info.
I've never had an engine code till now so I wasn't prepared for it. I'm gonna probably end up having to drive it a few hundred miles till I can clean the sensor.

Update I did plugs and cleaned the MAF. The check engine lights have not come back since that one night. I do believe I also got some gas with water in it I'm on my second new tank of gas since running that shitty gas. The truck no longer blows white smoke. But it still shifts like shit so I'm going to be changing the tranny fluid within the next week it's running better but not back to how it used to be.

Just did 110 miles pulling my dump trailer empty at 65 mph. I averaged 7.9 on this route I normally average 10 but that may be an unrelated factor. Under load the truck seems to fall on its facing trying to maintain speed. Usually it stays around 1900 rpm I was staying at 2100 and it wasn't hitting 3k rpms going up hill like it normally does. It's alot better than before. Before I was having a hard time maintaining speed pulling my flat bed empty at 65mph

I may remember that you two for a living right and have a boatload if miles on your truck?

Maybe try running some sea foam or other water removing additive treatment for the fuel system.

It's only at 196k lol. Yeah what I do I end up doing alot of towing.
I'm gonna give that a shot, I thought about dumping some heat in there.
I was gonna hit the dealership tommorow to schedule a tranny fluid change I might have them look at it and see if they can figure it out.
Just burnt through 32 gallons of 91 I was hoping it would go away but no luck.

Update getting tranny fluid done showed them the codes. They believe my tranny is going bad. I don't agree with their diagnosis. So back to throwing parts at it.

I tend to agree - the drivability issues with the engine would certainly contribute to shifting issues.

How did the plugs look? Were they original?

Were the MAF sensor elements very dirty when you did the cleaning?

I’m not seeing your location, but you didn’t fuel up at a Circle K in CO lately, did you?

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/2017-tundra-with-44k-miles-in-the-dealership-warranty-work.45590/

If cleaning the MAF and replacing plugs made a noticeable difference, it wouldn’t hurt to reset the ECM (disconnect battery).

Dealership screwed up and didn't have the right tranny pan gasket so my truck gets to sit another day there.
They're still hell bent on telling me to get a new tranny. As soon as the fluid change is done and if it continues to do the weird shifting I'll be taking it to a buddies tranny shop have him check it out and if it is actually shot, I'll have the tranny rebuilt/repaired maybe even upgraded internally if it's possible.

The dealer pulled the tranny pan for God knows why I visually looked at it I didn't see any metal shavings the fluid was really dark so it was due for service.

The only service I asked for was a Tranny fluid change. They also ran their computers and diagnosis tools they didn't find any codes at all that were logged the ones I found I had cleared so they couldn't find any.
Also they were hell bent on telling me if this doesn't work I need a whole new tranny and they won't repair the tranny or rebuild but just replace it with a new one.

Yes sir, hopefully I get it to 250 to 275 before I'm done with this truck.
    20190515_145946_zpseckony4i_a09526218c6d17137f3698afa341b9becc81cb62.jpg

For some reason my mpgs will not go past 8.9 towing now. But it might be totally unrelated. 100 or so miles so far doing good. It shifts pretty good still had one hesitation so I'll he watching it and taking it easy.

Little update threw the p0171 p0174 bank 1 and 2 lean code again. Cleaned the maf went away for 903 miles now it came back and now the truck is having hesitations while being under load. Cant find any vacuum leaks. Idles fine. Debating changing the maf sensor next then the o2 sensors. Hopefully its not a fuel pump.
    Current mileage 229475
