My 2015 Toyota tundra check engine light came on so I stopped at AutoZone they told me they might be able to figure it out once they ran the code it came up as a timing issue. I will call dealership tomorrow but I need more info on what this could be

Do you remember what the code was? Without it, speculation is about all that anyone can offer.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
Timing issue doesn't sound good. Under warranty so your best bet is to take it to the dealership.

I plan on do it but they can't get me in until Tuesday but I'd like to drive it but I don't want to hurt anything further

Do a Google search for the code. "Tundra P2610". Pretty much every result says it's a bad ECU, covered by a 8 year 80k mile warranty.
