    :(

I had checked Amazon and 4wdking's homepage and was thinking it was protective film since none were listed as blue but was hoping I was wrong lol

So update , I got everything apart and ready to install and the mounts provided do not work. Will need to purchase the aftermarket mount kit for the light bar

They are way to small, they are only about 1.5 inches

Yeah, to short. This light comes with 2 mounts. I did install behind the mesh, I’m sure I loose some light but not enough to make me worried, I like the extra stealth/finished look. It wasn’t full night time, but that’s what I got yesterday.

looks so good! Did you have to modify the plastic grill insert at all to get the light to fit behind it?

I just snapped the top tabs and reused the screws, I did use a step drill to make the brackets holes bigger because the light was hitting the plastic cover that way I was able to “move” the light down a bit.

Finally got the light bar installed. Looks very clean and OMG it’s bright. I may need to adjust it down a bit but overall very happy. I’ve only been cut off once since the bar has been installed but trust be who ever the poor sap was I’m sure he is still seeing spots when he closes his eyes.

I got the Nilite 41". The corners of the hood bulge stick up. Ive done everything I can think of to get it to line up. Ive cut a slot where the original hole in mounting bracket was so I can adjust the height up and down on the bar. Ive set it so far back that the allens that connect brackets to light bar are inside the bulge and dropped down 1/8" and bulge still sticks up on the corners. I took light out and bulge still sticks up? Maybe bulge warped out of shape or maybe bent weak metal on hood where the holes for the black tabs from bulge go? Any advice? Pics coming

If your talking about the top outer tabs on hood of truck where the black round tabs press into. I trimmed those so I can still use black tabs. If yourtalking about trimming tabs on hood bulge itself, I haven’t trimmed anything in hood bulge.

As far as bar goes. It works good if I can get it mounted right. Its bright and I like the looks of it when its off.

The bracket you get with the light should be sufficient with the modifications you made to it. There is also a fairly decent install video on YouTube of the nilight installed in the hood bulge. Check it out

This is the step I missed. Trimming the outer plastic brackets on the hood bulge. I think this will solve my problem. Thanks

So I watch the video an first he says no possible light adjustments then proceed to say he went outside an adjusted light without telling you how he adjusted it. So is there or is there not adjustments on this?

Do you have a picture of how far down you drilled on the bracket?
