Nope. No tray. Which is fine. Just need to track one down. Just need something to keep the console from becoming a complete mess.

That is actually the safe I ended up getting. I am in San Antonio where Lock'er Down is located. Went by the showroom and the entire staff was great. Saved some money on shipping by being local. Now I just need a tray for the space left open by the safe.

The instructions say to remove the lid but you dont have to. Undo the screws in the bottom of your console, slide the safe down into the console and secure with the screws they provide. Takes about 5min.

Just to clarify, this is for the safe in the picture. Not sure if others are the same.

Did you forget the code? You get a single key but I never use it.

Watch as you slide it in place. I got my fingers caught as I slid it down. That thing has some weight to it!

No, it's just nice to have 2 keys. You get 2 keys when you buy other locks or even a car. Just thought it was weird getting 1 key.

So you can still use a tray with the half safe, huh? Is that tray from Locker Down?

I think I'd prefer the full size Locker Down, but I want to keep a tray on top - don't want to go back to just one giant abyss. For those that have the full size, do you see any way to add an internal tray to the safe? Are there any ledges inside for a tray to be set on?

The tray comes with the safe. The one pictured is from Toyota and is available on Amazon and many other places including the dealer.. I took the tray and cut it at the middle seam then added a wireless phone charger. The open space allows me to access items without removing the tray. The reason I wanted a half safe was to keep quick needed items on one side and valuables on the other. I didn't want to open my safe everytime I needed something from the console.

I had the locker down and liked it, but i never filled it up so a split console safe is better unless you need the added volume.
The one on Amazon seems pretty cheap probably flimsy, but its all just a deterent anyways

Cool thanks. Locker Down doesn't seem to have very many accessories. If I went with the half safe, I'd have to come up with my own organizer (like below, which is what I currently have) for each side of the safe so I don't have a double-abyss.

Because of the half size personally I dont need an organizer in the bottom. I did add a small usb led light on the left side to help find items.

Might be leaning towards the 1/2 for reasons you gave - quick grab of stuff I don't need to lock up.
A little lame that the 1/2 size is only 10 bucks cheaper than the full. lol Do these things ever go on sale? Maybe Black Friday?

Almost the same amount of material. The safe lines the entire console, so it is secured with the two bolts that hold the console in place.

I definitely want to get the split console safe. I see there are quite a few what appear to be cheaper$ knock off versions of this safe on Ebay. They look identical. Just wondering if anybody has any experience with the non-Toyota version? Are they in fact identical but just not branded Toyota, are they still going to keep my personal belongings safe?

Which Ebay safes do think are counterfeit? I had a quick look and they are all $300 plus dollars.

I installed the same! Worth every dollor as some one tried to gain access to mine at a dealership and ended up only slightly bending a corner!
