    There is a back plate provide by Hondo that tightens it. It doesn’t screw into the truck at all though.

    A-pillar ram mount, fits my Samsung Note 8 perfectly. No issues on the heaviest dirt trails

    Based off of other recommendations from another post I ordered the setup from Hondo Garage. Received it a couple weeks ago and absolutely love the thing. And apparently they upgraded their design to allow the vent to open up almost completely. IMG_5151.jpgIMG_5149.jpg

    Does anyone have any recommendations for a 2nd gen with the column shifter? I want to avoid the magnetic mounts since I use wireless charging a lot.

    I used the A-pillar for a ram mount. Took some adjusting so I wouldn't hit it when turning or flipping the turn signal. Once adjusted, wouldn't change a thing. However, to change from landscape to portrait on the mount takes some re-adjusting

    Thanks. How does that mount to the A-pillar? I can't tell from your pic if it's just sticking directly to the pillar of if it's attached to the grab handle.

    Versions of the iOttie One Touch is what I gravitate to because of the ability to mount/dismount with one hand.

    Are there any other ones that we can do that besides magnetic? (as those can’t be used with wireless charging, save for removing the case every time).

    My iottie one touch is mounted to a ram arm via ball adapter. I had to mill the ball slightly smaller to fit in the back of the iottie.

    You gave me a great idea! I let my wife have my iOttie vent and was doing without. Had an old suction cup iOttie, took it apart, and attached it to a cheap vent ball I already had from the dollar store and it worked.

    @Cuzbee

    Can you provide details on the setup? looks great! I'd like to utilize the vent. I hate how phone vent mounts completely cover the air vent.

    thanks!

    I think it's the Un-Holey and whatever mount you want to add. I like the bolt solution because our vents rotate, future consideration myself.

    That's correct. The website has it under Tacoma. The mount will work for both trucks. Click on the "bundle" and you will get the "perfect squeeze" mount for the phone, 2 RAM Balls, 1 RAM double socket arm, and the Un-holy mount that goes onto the air vent. @Joshua is correct. Once you install the phone mount, the air vent will not rotate. However, the new design allows for the vent to open almost all the way.

    The nice thing about the socket arm is that you can move/swivel the phone mount around and out of the way of the vent.

    I have this installed. I'll take a picture when I can. Only thing about it is I have to put the magnet on the outside of my Otterbox. When I tried to leave the magnet inside the case, every bump would knock it off the stand.
