I think you will be pleased with your decision for powder coating the wheels.

    Best and welcome!

If you are towing enough that you want to keep MPGs up, you may want to wait on leveling the truck, otherwise you might wind up sagging with your trailer on it and tanking the MPGs anyway. Just a thought.

I've not used any wraps of any kind, but if those pictures are accurate, then this might be a great option for protecting the paint on the grille surround and such. I see potential, but I am otherwise financially obligated.

I nominate @ElNopal ! He has vinyl skills and I am betting there is something left that he wants to make cavalry blue.

Actually, I was considering it... I do have some more things I could either paint or vinyl.

Kind of scary now that you (others) can predict that. :tumbleweed:

Did my first ever 2 bucket wash on a vehicle. Amazon Foam Canon, CG Honeydew soap, Meguiars Ultimate Paste wax, wash mitt, drying towel, 2.5 hrs, 303's exposed plastic parts.....and then it rained today

I knew it was coming and it was my only time to do it. My family thought I was crazy but it is nice to see the water beading off it and it does look good

I'm always amazed and how different the color looks from different angles and in different light. Same truck, photos taken at same time

Not mine, but they were used to show me what bronze looked like on it.

So I just completed the De-Chroming of my 2020 Cavalry Blue Limited. Taking everything apart was relatively easy due to the tutorials on this forum and youtube. The biggest pain in the butt was removing the grill from the surround, once I figured out that cutting the plastic black tab was the easiest way it went as planned and I only broke 1 tab out of 13.

    To recap mods:
    Tinted front windows to match
    Removed limited badges
Removed TRD off road sticker on rear of bed
    I painted chrome mirror covers
2020 Limited Door handle inserts are chrome, so I painted entire handle (removed from vehicle, not difficult to do)
Front bumper caps ( I decided to leave center section black for some contrast and not to overload front end in blue)
I purchased a 2014-2017 TRD Pro grill with surround, removed my Limited grill insert and swapped it our for the TRD Pro one and painted chrome surround
Jomax TSS relocation bracket (verdict is out on the TSS as the light already came on twice when driving with cruise control on)
    Painted the chrome hood bulge
Added Coachbuilder bumper shims while I had the bumper off to clear the 35's.
    Color matched Bushwacker fender flares

Next week I will put the Ready lift leveling kit on as well at the bronze rays 10s and 35/12.50 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Will post pictures after it's lifted and with the wheels and tires.

On side note, went off roading for the first time. Had lots of fun but got scratches on both sides that I can’t get out :(:(:(

Can't see pics but would like to know how you painted the door handles and what prep work and paint you used. They will be the only chrome left on my truck after I put the tow mirrors on.

This thread may offer a little more insight...

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/handle-wraps.63155/#post-1815661

It would appear, that once the plastic chrome cover is separated, one should be able to prep for paint. I have used light sanding pads or sanding sticks for small pieces like this. I also have heard members having great success with “bleaching” the chrome, which in turn, leaves the piece with a faint “whitish” plastic that is perfect for successful painting.

I am looking to explore and overland with my beautiful cavalry blue truck so just try and let it go. I know it’s hard, trust me. I’ve been accumulating small scratches and just know it’s only a matter of time before it’s a scratched up old truck

Definitely, I thought it would be just sand and mud but didn't expect trees. At a quick glance or from a distant, you can't really tell but it's me and my OCD is killing me. Also, if it was a standard color (white, black, silver, etc) I wouldn't mind, but since it's a special color....

Now I heard some company making like magnetic body armor, might be interested in that if I want to continue this lol

If my seats get messed up I’ll cover them, same for the paint. We’re gonna wrap the four wheel camper so it’s always an option for the truck too.
