I'm actually having the same thought with the bumper as you. Currently, it's black but I'm not sure how blue would look. Maybe too much blue...Is it too much to have the painter go ahead and do everything except the middle of the bumper so you can just see how it looks before painting it blue? It's better to hold off then to do it and try and reverse it.

Definitely leave it black, it's a very nice contrast!
Also, can't wait to see bronze wheels on this color, I'm considering this as well!

Agreed. The black and blue are a perfect match.

When I get around to dechroming anything on the outside, I'll be going black

I like black also. Mine is all blue, and ive gotten used to it now but I still think given the chance i would swap for black. I like the way the trd pro looks, with the all color matched except the black bumper.

Thanks, Mathew. :humble: Not near as custom as yours, with Cavalry everything, but I do love it.

The thing that is important is that YOU love it! I am not afraid to admit it, I am real jelly with this set up of yours. Like all great things that are worth a darn, I know you took your time, researched, researched some more, then went and put in the hard work and now here is your expected end result.

Also, my “cavalry everything” is cool to me, and possibly others, but I also know that it is NOT for everyone.

Again, it looks fabulous! I hope my powdered gunmetal steelies can only look a fraction of cool as yours do!

    Enjoy!

Thank you for the kind words. You are correct, we all do our own things in our own ways. Steelies always look great if they get a little love, and you do lots of love for your tundra!

I was all excited to get my new handles from Sparks today however seems the key hole component is not the same. :(
They look great and just need to get the one piece replaced. Hope that's not an issue.

Thank ya sir. It reminds me of how much I like the color of my truck every time I see it. Makes it easier than having to run out to the window and look at my Tundra. Less awkward in meetings too.

I think the color looks good, perhaps a little milky but looks good in person. Quality of paint is excellent. I went ahead and put the part on but certainly looks awkward. But at least it's not black.

RCI Offroad. I got them with the skids when the had a 15% off sale. Labor day I think. Solid, but need two people to install. Welds are solid, but not the prettiest. Can't tell once it's coated and mounted.

Apparently they sent me one for a 2020 and are going to paint another one for my 2019. They have been really good and even sent a prepaid return label for the old part.

Do you know the wheel specs? Any rubbing?

I have some 18x9 +25's and considering this tire size. Thanks in advance.

Honestly I dont. I bought it as is. No rubbing though. It has a level kit on it. Plenty of room. Honestly feel I could go bigger but I am going to wait for these tires to wear and replace suspension and put 35s on it

Might I recommend you stick with the factory wheels, and use the black out vinyl kits that are made for them if you decide to get ride of the silver in the wheels. I"m about $350 deep in shop cost trying to get my truck to stock steering wheel shaking at highway speeds with the new wheels and tires and it's still present. I had the 20" factory, if they would have been 18" I would put them back on now.

If that reply is for me I plan on keeping the stock wheels and having them powder coated black sometime in the future. I got the TRD option just to get the 18" wheels, did not really want the 20" wheels. For now I do not plan on larger tires as I will be towing and I do not want to reduce the MPG any more than needed. Wouldn't mind leveling it a little.
