I installed the full CBI since here in AZ since we don't get to trail over soft bushes but neverending sharp rocks. For offroad protection they are unbeatable due to their transfer case protection. Problem is AND this goes for most cat protection out there is the area's to the sides of the front cats is vulnerable to these modern mini-sawsall with long blades. A simple cut and the whole pipe is pulled out the back. I had to add a chunk of plate steel to the sides of the mid-plate for this protection. While I do assume the scum as soon as they see any skid they move on the ones who are repeat offenders know what they are doing. It looks like the Valhalla offers that all important side protection but I have only seen the pics. Again, the modern cordless tools these dreamboats of society are using mean they require very little room to cut the front pipe which in itself is insanely easy to cut.

Very true. When I built my plate I bought the longest blades I could find, and as I built it I just kept adding to it until I couldn't get the blade anywhere near the pipe to be cut off. Worked out pretty good

Are the rear cats as easy to get to as the front? Recently put a shield on the front, but not the back.

Yes, they are as easy to get as the front. Need the rear shield as well for full coverage.

We have only fit our plates on the 4wd 4 runners. I had a customer tell me they fit one on a 2wd, but I am not confident enough to sell one that fits 2wd.

Copy that. I'll take a look at it and see if something locally can be made to fit.

    A rather resourceful idea I might add….

Stuff like that would cause some thieves to dent or scratch your truck.

Thieves want easy targets. If you make it difficult, they'll just move on the the truck that belongs to the guy that says shields won't help.

All of which is a lot easier to fix than replacing cats.

Don't know that I would agree where a new paint job is concerned or other spiteful damage.

Yep. Just cover that cats with the plates and move on. No need to poke the bear by adding to it.

They would probably do the same thing to your truck once they found a cat shield on it …ha ha

Ordered the Skid Row Offroad kit for my 05 yesterday. I look forward to installing it. 'Twas a bit more than I wanted to spend until I looked the price of replacement cats. I'll just work some more OT at work to pay for it. No biggie. Also I found a 10% off code when I ordered so I guess I have that going for me, which is nice.

My talon front and rear Gaurds just came today and I immediately got to work thanks to this forum and all the horror stories with them being stolen, I didn't want to be a statistic I have to say his 10gauge plates are absolutely awesome and it wasn't easy to get my meat hook in those tight spots but a couple busted knuckles was well worth it to me
