I am looking at getting the valhallas shield for front and rear Catalytic Converters along with replacing the front skip plant to match. Where do I get the security bolts for the plats? I am concerned that someone can just unbolt the plate.

    TEXAS!
i'd read several more posts before ordering from valhalla. dude lost vendor status for taking peoples money and not delivering for months.

tyler lives about 30 minutes from me, and i really wanted to support local. however, his business strategy did not align w/ the way i do business. unfortunate.

welcome from texas, more specifically greater houston.

purchased the cat security in 2021 after i witnessed quite a few members here get very frustrated with valhalla & his business practices. didn't have the patience for that kind of foolishness.

best of luck to you and your business! definitely doing it the right way!

    Too many, but not enough....
This is the way.....the only way. Dont forget the special bits! And buy one extra. Also get bolt head protectors for extra security and so you dont shear off the heads of the bolts offroading, ask me how I know lol.

When it comes to security, bolts are the least of your concern. The shield is sufficient against the current threat.

A bigger issue (in my opinion) is how hard it is to remove the shield(s) for maintenance. I went with aluminum, which should help some, but it's still going to be a bit of a pain in the ass. Especially without a lift.

To date I have only ever heard of one shield being unbolted, and I am pretty sure it had standard hex head bolts.

We have had a few customers email us about finding cut marks in their shield. It’s a big reason why we do not make anything thinner than what we do. We want to ensure if they do try to cut our shield off, it’s gonna be a long painful process. It is also a big reason why I have refused to make a thinner cheaper shield under the talons brand.

I wouldn’t go with Valhalla’s. I placed an order November 2022, and still haven’t received my order, it’s a shame.
I placed an order with Talon’s just yesterday and it’s expected to arrive this weekend.

    I am slowly getting there!

The Ford Powderboost was the last skid I designed laying on the floor.

The Hybrid Tundra was the first one I did on my lift!

@bonefish - Just curious about your screen name and your inspiration for the name. Does it possibly have anything to do with USS BONEFISH (SS-582), which experienced a catastrophic battery well fire on April 24, 1988?
